Export/Import Saved Assets (Colors, Character Styles, Symbols)
Saved Assets need to be able to quickly copy pasted between multiple .xd files.
Hi All -
We’re excited to announce that with XD May release, you could create a single source of truth for all your colors, character styles, and components in an XD cloud document and reuse all your assets in your XD documents.
With the linked assets feature, you can easily share and consume not only components — or what was formerly known as symbols — but colors and character styles as well. This is incredibly handy if you are sharing sticker sheet with your team or reuse design elements across projects.
Linked Assets complement the workflow of linked components. When you modify a linked asset in the source document, all the consuming documents with those linked assets receive update notifications. From there, you can choose preview and accept the updates.

Please give it a try and let us know what you think.
Thank You!

This is not "feature complete" given it only works for cloud files.

This would really help for faster designing. Especially for large projects where the same assets are used.

XD si in serious need of a proper upgrade, just adding plugins isn't sufficient to fix major workflow issues like this one. Get it together, Adobe.

Agreed. Including when pasting content from one XD file to another, the color swatches and character styles are not being imported into the destination file on paste. That defeats the purpose of using swatches and styles if they are lost when content is pasted from one XD file to another.
It is also important that XD asks confirmation on what to do when importing duplicate styles, swatches, and symbols. When names match XD should request confirmation from the user the same way Illustrator and InDesign do it when we import swatches and styles into those types of files. Automatically creating duplicates of Assets on paste or import defeats the purpose of using Assets in the first place.

Scenario: working on project 2, if i need the same assets that i used on project 1. we need a better way to copy/paste or exporting those entire assets to another xd file with in 2 clicks.

I third this. Would be great to be able to share between documents. Ideally, we could point to a shared library where many docs could share a common library set. This way, we could add an element to 1 doc and have it accessible automatically to all the other docs automatically.
