I'm sorry, it's 2023 and requiring publishing with grids on in order for the option to toggle grids in the specs view is just ridiculous. The option to toggle grids on/off should be available by default regardless of whether it was published on or off in design.

✅ This is fixed. There's a catch. You need to enable layout grid, and then update your design spec. link.
Now the grid will be included in the specs.

Was this feature revoked? I cant seem to find how to view the grid in the dev specs.

I received the answer from Adobe Support. They confirmed it's a bug, and they are fixing it.

On the previous versions of XD it was here (see screenshot). Can somebody from Adobe comment it? this is an incredibly critical thing for developers. Many people I know already switched to Zeplin because of this.

Switcher for grids disappeared ("layout" toggle switched on in XD app before export). Is this a bug or Adobe decided to remove this feature?

Same problem, no grids at all on published screens.

I have done everything to try and get the layout grid/toggle to show up in the dev link and nothing works. It does not show up. I have even done what Andy (below) has said to do and the toggle still does not show up in the dev link. My XD app is up to date. Can anyone help to get this to show up or is it truly gone after a recent update?

I'm gonna need this feature back in v24.2.22 and onwards as soon as humanly possible. thanks

I'm a new user of Adobe Xd and I really can not find these links! Can somebody help me?

Andy is right, I figured this out in the meantime as well. It is unintuitive though, I couldn't agree more.

It took me a while to figure out, but you have to "Show Layout Grid" on each artboard in the XD file before you create/update the link to share for development. In the dev link, there will now be a toggle to show/hide the layout grid.

It's unintuitive and a huge hassle, but it works.

The layout option already exists, however the square option doesn't. It should exist.
