Basic image editing (Fireworks)
We are still using Fireworks as a great tool for layouting for web and digital projects and it's powerful and fast tools for editing bitmaps is something that will make XD stand out from the competitors.
We know that is a design and prototyping tool but in many phases of our UX and UI design we need some basic bitmap editing activities (we know that Photoshop can do that but the spped and intuitive interface of Fireworks is something that any other Adobe tools does not have).
It would be great that improvement would be integrated into XD.
Best from Italy.

PS: I really look forward to see new essential features like microinteractions, fixed elements and responsive grids, so to adopt XD as a real contemporary prototyping tool.
Fireworks had a lot of features! We prefer if feature requests are filed more individually, to keep the list tidy and so others can upvote the specific features they’re interested in.
Please upvote these existing items if they’re of interest, or file new items for specific other image-editing features you’d like to see in XD:

- convert path to marquee (important!);

- 9-slice scaling.Thanks for attention to the end user's needs! Good luck guys, I believe in you!

I miss good old features from Fireworks main features block on the left... XD is too vector-oriented, many designers still need the raster features, as well...

Lasso tool Needed. This will really help us to cut unwanted portions in the images.

This was one of the main things that caused me not to adopt XD right away. Now I'm hooked but the features are needed. I mean, FW quality in bitmap and vector is crappy by today's standards. I hope you can do better.

Unlike Adobe Fireworks CS6 which combines solid bitmap editing features with a full vector tool-set, XD does NOT really offer too much in the way of bitmap editing capabilities . If you're not going to seriously develop the bitmap capabilities of XD then its needs a quick a seamless option to select a bitmap and 'quick edit in Photoshop' then return to XD.

Same situation here - I switch from Fireworks right now and XD lacks the simple image editing from Fireworks (bitmap and vector tools) - it would be FANTASTIC if you could let us create vector icons and objects right there, the old-school way - importing stuff is fun but takes time when you can create it right there and doesn't give necessary flexibility for power users who can create stuff themselves.
Many Fireworks users have been waiting for a quality replacement for YEARS (I personally know many of them) and it'd be great to get one.
