Gosh... Just came here after encountering the same issue and saw Maratopia's comment made on this very same day. I'm coming from Figma and XD seems nice, but this color issue is really annoying.

How can a giant like adobe not see this as a bug? Surely an auto changing text colour depending on colour contrast would be something Adobe can do. Or even simpler just add a background colour to it like on photoshop.

I would suggest the rest of the users struggling with this to also put something in the thread below as we cannot consider this issue as a feature request because it is a BUG/FLAW.

3 1/2 year old request. This custom setting is still needed.

Choosing a custom color or having a colored background on the tiny numbers for more contrast would help with this immensely. I really struggle with these guides on projects, constantly squinting or changing the colors of something just to read the spacing is a pain.

I struggle with reading the smart guides every day, because of the colors used in the product I work on. The numbers are also super small. It would be ideal if we could choose a custom color for the smart guides and choose a larger size for the number labels. Thanks!

Xd is an amazing designing tool. In some scenarios due to contrasting colour in the background design it is very difficult to notice the Pixel distance(number & Guideline) Pink colour even at maximum of 6400%. I hope this would be rectified which help. Thanks.

I agree - we should be able to configure the guide colors just like we do in any other Adobe app. I am having the same contrast issues Dartoumi reported and I am not even using magenta in my design!

being able to configure the guide color so that it doesnt match a critical brand color would be perfect.

When you have an object with a fill that's close to the color of the guide, it's hard to see the value of the guide.

In Photoshop it's implemented much better.
