Layout grid defaults
Include a built-in library of grids for Android, iOS, mobile and desktop. This would help with standardisation, particularly for emerging UX designers.

preset grid layouts, right now there are only two options (use default or make default), would love to have preset for different layouts, similar to photoshop

This is so broken right now. And why can't I have layout and pixel grids visible at same time. Why is it impossible to go back to the original default after you have accidentally clicked make default, it will not change back.

Grid defaults should be different from document to document. For example I have created separate documents for mobile and desktop view. I would like to define defaults for those documents not for the entire application.

I agree with this idea wholeheartedly. This would be a great feature for all designers, regardless of experience.
Instead of manually creating the grids at the start of a project, allow me to choose from a set of common grid presets provided by XD and apply said grid to my project. Further, allow me to create and save my own custom grids as an asset.
