zoom out and pan like InDesign
It would be really helpful to have a zoom out and pan similar to InDesign. This could facilitate being able to zoom into a section of the app or website design, zoom out and move to another section and zoom back to previous level an new cursor location in one fluid movement.

Zoom to Selection sucks... at least Command+MouseScroll works properly.

Hi, I guess everybody has different zoom preferences but how about having some preference choices in XD, just like it’s possible in InDesign, Photoshop, etc.? I’m so much used to the dynamic (or is it called scrub?) zoom, i.e. holding down CMD and Spacebar and dragging the mouse to zoom in and out. Please consider this for XD!

Bob, why not lean on "Zoom to Selection" (cmd-3) for (1) ?

1. Make zoom like illustrator. if you select an element on an artboard, and then you zoom, you shouldn't have to drag around the screen to find the selected object because you have 10 or more artboards in the project. This would save a lot of time and frustration.
2. Allow scrolling for an object or group of obects while other objects on the screen remain static. This matches common user functionality. Scrolling everything is only useful for retail or text only websites. Most other websites allow you to scroll through a sample list while keeping the Header and/or sidebar and/or other objects static. -

In InDesign, when I'm zoomed in, I can hold down the space bar, or select the hand tool, then press and hold the mouse button and the screen will zoom. The hand icon will close and have a scroll cursor to the bottom right. A red border will also appear that shows what thethe zoomed in area will be once the mouse button is released. While still holding the mouse button down, however, I can pan around the screen, and in the case of InDesign move between pages in my document. It's a quick and efficient way to move around the document without having to zoom in and out all the time.

Hi Stuart,
Can you elaborate a bit? You can current zoom to point in XD and zoom out from point. How does InDesign differ in this case for your specific use case?
