One click to edit text
This is a very simple but useful feature that I'd like to see carried over from InDesign.
In InDesign, when the text tool is selected, it only takes one click to begin editing text in the exact place where you click in a text string. To select the object to move it, you simply use the Selection Tool (V), but if you want to edit text, the Text Tool (T) makes it seamless.
Currently in XD, objects are selected in the same way regardless as to whether the Selection Tool or Text Tool is in use. This requires 2 clicks to begin editing text, or 4 clicks to begin editing text in a textbox that's part of a group (which is more frequent for me.) In InDesign, it's only one click to place the cursor exactly where I want it, even in text boxes that are part of a group.

¿Sería posible que al hacer clic sobre una caja de texto con la herramienta Texto (T) se pudiera editar directamente el texto? Como en Indesign o Illustrator.
Actualmente si haces clic en un texto te crea un cuadro de texto nuevo. -

YES please. Selecting all the content from the text-box is not what I was expecting.

I agree with MaMaLy below. I was going to open a separate ticket but I'll just add to this one:
When I select the Text tool and click a text box, I do NOT want all of the text to become highlighted/selected. Instead, I want the cursor to immediately place itself where I click so I can start typing.

One thing I DO like is that when you mouse wheel scroll (or rather Magic Mouse scroll) while editing a text field, it doesn't work. InDesign allows you to to scroll while editing a textbox, and many times I've accidentally edited text that was out of view. So don't change that limitation in XD!

I just discovered that if you hid CMD when clicking with the text tool, that it does enter edit mode, but it selects all of the text in the box. So it's 2 clicks to insert in a grouped text box, or 1 click to replace all of the text. However, I'd say that when you have the text tool selected, you shouldn't have to hit CMD to edit the text. Possibly it should be the other way around, that holding CMD would let you select the object and holding down nothing would let you edit it.
But I'd still prefer that it not select all of the text, but rather insert the cursor right where you click, and rely on a double click to select all of the text.
Also, if you're editing one text field, and then CMD click in another one, it doesn't enter into edit mode, but rather just selects the object. I'd like it to behave consistently, even if I had been previously editing another field. This would let me fly through more quickly, editing text in several buttons in a row without having to hit Esc before selecting the next one.
