Open XD files without XD
When handing off designs to developers it would be great to allow them to view the XD file for font size etc. without actually paying or having an app installed.
We do have design specs now, which developers can use to view colors, character styles, and measurements without having to pay for a license.

Odio cuando me piden descargar todo un software por actualizar un texto, si no funciona un texto solo muestren la advertencia. POr eso no recomiendo usar XD a mis clientes

Adobe AEM developer tutorials come with XD files for the UI components. No developer has XD. As we cant open XD files, it mean the tutorials lose a lot of value. People to distribute XD files should convert them to pdf or similar first.
Edit: I just scrolled down, and www.Photopea.com does indeed work as an online viewer, very impressive tool.

I hate this commented
Hi I am actually a developer and one of our clients gave us a .XD file,
WHY DO I HAVE TO INSTALL CC FOR THIS???
customer service: "yes you need to install all Creative Cloud Services in order to read a file"
installing XD didn't even ASK if I wanted to install CC just went right to installing it itself, wellcome to an endless hell of updates notification and expiring free license spam!
I hate your services, and CC is the worst thing you ever made, bye

Is the license only required for the Designer, or does every viewer need one too?

xd files are .zip files. You can view the content of the xd file (including preview.png, thumbnail.png, graphicContent.agc) on filext.com. Just drag & drop your xd file on https://filext.com/file-extension/XD, and then click on graphicContent.agc to see all color values, font names, etc

Design specs do not help when Mac-based designers are trying to share concepts with PC-based managers.

Of course XD comes with very useful features Adobe products are top of all but it doesn't make any sense to anyone to give money only for viewing
adobe illustrator & photoshop are very good in bounding each other elements
We need similar features in Adobe XD which can easily open in photoshop & illustrator -

we need viewer for XD. Too bad to force users to pay for viewing.

It's disgusting that there is no viewer for this. We've been handed visual assets by a designer but we can't view them because Adobe hasn't made a free viewer.
