Add UX Notes mode (to Design and Prototype)
As UX, I would like to add page and object notes for my engineering and QA teams. These notes should be visible in PDF exports as well as in the online prototype. See proposed feature UX Design Prototype Link.

Yes. Please. I keep making mockups and then I can't create lines or text or notes to explain anything when doing the output for the teams UNLESS I make a separate screen for it .. which messes up my UI design.

Have the ability to annotate just by adding a simple sticky note. Acts as an easy way to capture thoughts/ideas while in design mode that you can look to later. Easier than creating text and stands out more. It's especially useful working remotely when co-designing and waning to just capture ideas directly in XD.

UI UX designer is crucial to just about everything. It renders the latest technology accessible to the masses, makes our favourite apps and websites a pleasure to use, and determines which brands and products we return to over and over again. To put it simply, design matters.

I cannot believe this isn't a feature yet. I don't want to export the stupid prototypes just so I could type something in a browser. Keeping notes in one place would be super useful.
It's like the team behind XD didn't consider this being a significant part of a design process for many individuals and teams.

Please! I have to duplicate my artboards when adding notes so it doesn't clutter up my screen. Super annoying.

+ 1 from me and my team too

Was really hoping this feature were a part of the tool at this point. Large hole in functionality to be able to effectively design UI's and convey specs.

I would like to add notes to artboards in design and prototype mode that would be tied to the artboard when I share the prototype for review or development.
This would help me explain certain interactions in the prototype, especially those I cannot achieve with xd.

A separate section next to Prototype that allows a complete comment/markup of the artboards by anyone with access. This feature would be something that looks and feels like Acrobat (a small dot that expands on hover or something. you can place the dot on the thing to comment on (like a thumb tack) and then place the comment on a "note" that can be moved and placed anywhere to keep it out of the way. A developer or anther UX can click/tab the "tack" and the comment/note pops up in it's placed location. All of this on another tab and out of the way during Design.
The notes overlay would be great if it was broken down into types of notes:
1. UX notes (what the feature is an how it works)
2. Design note (how it looks and how it is styled)
3. internal notes (user notes on things to come back to or ideas that go to another artboard
4. checklist within the notes would be great.
5. shared boards having an "excel-esque" conversation view on the notes (as excel does with comments). -

+1 This is a very important feature fo us.

What if you add a "layer" like Pasteboard, called "Notes" that can be hidden. Whatever you add on this layer is above the artboards and Pasteboard.
This leaves space for future development, like signing for export (comments with pin). -

It is unbelievable that this feature has not been implemented yet.

As a designer many a times i'd like to add a note on a specific component (like Axure used to allow) which i'd want the developers to pay heed to. Waiting till i publish the design to pin & add that note seems a very tedious process. These notes can appear once i publish the url & design gets shared. Much like annotating the design while i am creating it.

Enable inserting comments in the design like in Excel or Acrobat. Notes &/or comments create dialog about a specific design element without having to draw text boxes and lines to the point of interest.

First of all, just wanted to say co-editing feature is the best. thank you.
Is there a way to leave comments in Design mode? It would be great if the users (of that shared file) could save comments for each other.

A free plugin solution for now: https://designwithfocus.com/#features
Add annotations directly to your design files
Focus is all about adding annotations straight to your design documents. This means that all your notes, ideas, tasks, feedback and whatever else you want to jot down stays relevant and never gets lost again. All your annotations are safely and securely sync'd to Focus so your data is all in one place.

This would help a LOT, otherwise I have to leave marks on the design itself which is really frustrating.

This would really come handy. I currently have create separate doc to put all the notes about everything.

Now I make notes in the online prototype, but when you make a new link, the notes are not copied with it. This is unhandy, when I make a different version of the design for example, like a dark mode version, that need to have the same notes as the light one.
