Gradient angle control (instead of dragging endpoints on canvas)
I often use the angle values to rotate my gradients—most often from 0 to 90 (to switch between vertical gradients to horizontal ones). I know this can be accomplished by dragging the on-canvas gradient editor segment, but it slows down my workflow trying to get the end points to align on the x or y axis perfectly. Even if you could hold shift while moving the end points so it snaps to the 45, 90, etc. angles, that would be a huge help.

Seriously Adobe get your act together. XD needs some serious attention to features like this. Now we're stuck in between feature parity with Photoshop. Starting to get really sick of it.

Bien cordialement

Absolutely mad that this was raised nearly four years ago and is still outstanding. Working with gradients in XD is AWFUL. Figma does a much better job.

easiest way is to rotate and mask a new shape over the one you want to have the angled gradient

This would be essential to have.
The way gradients work currently is useless from a developer standpoint because when it comes to CSS implementation, we only have the gradient angle, and not start and end points.
I had to create a personal plugin to achieve this effect. Such a shame. -

I have a similar idea... check it out at

The asset panel allows gradients and colors, but the user has to manually change the angle of a gradient every time it's applied. This option would add a gradient angle parameter to the gradient in the asset panel. For instance, if all of my UI items need to have a 97deg gradient, then I could set it in the asset panel and every time I use the asset panel to apply the gradient it would be 97deg.

Roxane, it seems you can see the angle in the exported design specs. Not the way we want it, but still...

Would it be possible to display the gradient angle?
This is important data for front end development.Serait-il possible d'afficher l'angle des dégradés ?
C'est une donnée importante pour le développement front end. -
When dragging gradient endpoints in canvas, they will snap to the edges and centerlines of the shape's bounds. This makes it relatively easy to get 0 or 90 degree angles -- no need to hold down Shift.
But two areas that would be improved by this feature request are:
- Precisely setting other angles, like 45 degrees
- Switching between 0 and 90 degrees even faster, without having to drag each endpoint and wait for it to snap
