As a developer I have to use Ubuntu for all my production work and sometimes there comes a time where I have to use XD for some designing purposes and for that switching to a newer OS makes it a bit hard as the I have to again get used to the other OS's controls and that impacts my productivity directly. Whether be it Windows or Mac switching between Operating system really sucks.

In many companies I work the developers are using Linux and can not work/use the XD Experience.

it should not be that hard to support ubuntu, you can create some sort of a container to support the environment that adobe group needs, right?

Most of us software developers, or at least a great deal of us, use Linux for development. But we usually have to deal with wireframes made with Adobe products.

I use online tools, like Avocode, to view the XD/IA files I receive from designers, but they are limited in their features.

It would be great to have a Linux version of Adobe XD or at least a viewer.

At least a viewer for XD files with the ability to export some graphics to svg would suffice - linux is used mostly by the developers. We get the designs and then have to code them. Unfortunately, a lot of designers use Adobe XD so we have problems with viewing the designs.

This feature would give a huge edge over Sketch, which is so tightly coupled with MacOS that it would never be on Linux. Surely, Adobe has the resources to refactor XD to be more modular so that it's easier to port. Open source the hardest parts and the Linux community will help you with long-term maintenance.

It's just a shame that there's no Linux version of Adobe XD :/

Year 2021 and there's no LINUX version yet. =(

I worked on ubuntu once. Adobe XD is not available in Ubuntu. There are three options for me now.

1. Have a second laptop besides me that has windows or mac OS installed.

2. uninstall ubuntu.

3. work on windows/mac. publish the URL and assets. Then use that web mockups/prototype and assets during development in ubuntu.
