Flatten layers to a single rasterized layer
Be able to flatten layers into a rasterized layer.
Right now, I need to export a layer to flatten it, then bring it back into an artboard in order to apply a blur effect. It would be nice to not have to leave Xd and then drag in an image. It disrupts the workflow a bit.
*nice to have

I've deleted my previous comment. ITS FREAKING FINALLY HERE. DOWNLOAD THE FKING PLUGIN:
https://adobe.com/go/xd_plugins_discover_plugin?pluginId=80f626abTHANKS MOTHER OF GOD! THANK U Shantanu for allowing this plugin to be developed. Its like a miracle after 4 yrs of using XD. SUCH A QUICK RESPONSE aha 5yrs hmm lol.
THAAAANKS EGOMANIAC STUBBORN ADOBE FOR ALLOWING DEVELOPER TO CREATE THIS PLUGIN!! THQ -

Five years of waiting to have a feature that is included from the start with the Sketch app? Is this for real? Goodbye Adobe... From today I will replace Adobe XD with another design tool. There are at least three tools I know... Lunacy, Figma, and Invision design.

Please add this feature. Its so helpful and useful for optimizing xd files so it doesnt get heavy on pixel data.

I used XD for a while now and i miss a feature that could hep prototype optimization when they become too heavy.
For example :
- there's no way to crop image to the mask when we have the right positionning for a background image. (copy paste HD image from directly from web browser is a bad habit but when we work fast, we do that). we could rid all the hidden pixels.
- Sometimes i need to merge a component as bitmap to reduce filesize when i don't need all the states of it. So i export my component on my desktop, open photoshop to optimize it in "save for web" and reimport it in XD. HARD WORKFLOW...And there's no way to have a assets feedback of the prototype to see what assets is a heavy one (when we have 200 artboard, it could be useful). No indicator of the size of the components. It could help to clean our document and optimize it.
What about an optimization panel to analyse assets ?Thank you !

I would love to have this possibilite too

This should be a feature yesterday. It's something I use all the time in Figma to compare with my other prototypes.

Rasterizing vector will help the developers while sharing design specs so that developer can download images directly from the design specs if required and designer will not have to export images separately, I Strongly vote this.

some times when making popups I dont need the whole UI of the screen on which popup will apear. for that I use jpg exports which is very tedious and slows down my work

This is very frustrating :0 for cleaning layers ready to pass along to development and implementation stage :(

Also, if rasterize feature is available we can crop big images easily in xd. Just mask the image into cropped size. Easily rasterize. So now we can get any types of image mask like rectangle, square, triangle, custom, etc and get it to rasterize. Would be a cool feature..

Yes a basic feature like this will save the day. Sometimes there are many popups overlay to design over blurred background. What if we need to add popups on each unique blurred bg page? Right now I'm merging my whole document > Copy paste to photoshop > Copy the rasterized image into xd and then use its blur filter.

I would LOVE a flatten/merge layers option. I do a lot of destruction to elements/screenshots to make it something new or to use existing parts of our application to create something different. I use this feature in Photoshop and within my mocking/prototyping workflow and it would be a big thing for XD to incorporate.
