Auto-scroll when wiring
Give the ability to move the screen in the direction of your mouse (from center of screen) if zoomed in too far while dragging a screen-link line.
If a user is zoomed in too far and wants to make a connection. They should be able to drag the line in any direction and when they reach the end of the screen, the background should move with them (a la pen tool in Illustrator [and many others])
In our most recent release, we introduced auto-scroll when dragging! Check it out and let us know what you think.

Even if the background would scroll it would take a while to find the right page with medium prototypes since they are often grouped and spread out.
Just an idea: if we drag a connector and [insert event, eg. stop for 1.5 seconds, hold space bar] it zooms out to fit all screens, making it easy to connect far apart screens

Hello Dear All,
In Prototype tab i have dozens artboards and drag and drop noding currently only working in visible window frame (pretty hard to connect them from far away), it would be nice to during noding drag and hold and near the window frame moving towards to direction, also would be nice to drag and hold node and scroll wheel zoom in/out then connect to desired point.
For example; Unreal Engine Blueprinting!
Thank you & Best Regards

This along with many other missing "quality of life" functionalities make me rage-quit XD often. Dragging something out of the viewport, then having to move, then drag, then zoom out, then move again, then zoom in, is incredibly annoying.

While dragging a wire connector and moving it across canvas, the canvas does not move along. I have to zoom out to get a larger view in order to link the wire. It would be nice if the canvas moved a long.

This would be very helpful indeed, or else at least activate the now functionless space bar hand cursor a la Pshop.

Make it simple. When you press left mouse button down and draw a connection wire you can actual press the space bar and hold and the mouse cursor changes to the hand cursor. But you cant move the background? Why? Make your homeworks! ;)

When dragging a wire to a new connection:
1. Move mouse to the an edge of the screen to auto-scroll in that direction.
2. Ctrl + MouseWheel to zoom in/out while dragging.Zooming all the way out to wire up two artboards is very hard, especially when wiring up smaller elements. It's very hard to select the right elements at that zoom distance.

Like photohop, I should be able to drag a selected element out of the viewable area across the artboard, or prototype connection.
If i'm zoomed in a bit I should not have to zoom out to drag something

+1 This becomes painstaking when designing for big screens such as websites and desktop apps. I have to ctrl+0 to easily wire screens together.

Let´s say you are in the bottom part of your artboards and want to take either an artboard or link it to another one that is in the upper part (out of current view).
It would be fantastic to ba able to drag and move beyond the current viewed screen, just like when dragging something in word and having the capacity to move up or down the document. -

+1 found the inability to auto scroll when working on complex sites very annoying

not just wiring, but moving objects around too.
