Create animations by writing scripting code in XD (like Framer)
Many times we need the potential to design something completely new! coding is the best way that make anything possible. allows you to explore every creative concept—not just replicate patterns. Code isn’t just for engineers. code is one of the most powerful tools a designer can have.
Thank you to integrate a programming language code for XD (javascript, coffeescript or actionscript?) to design animations and transitions, like Framer (http://framerjs.com/), that enhance unique and innovative user experiences.

I really want the possibility of writing simple scripts for animations. It would save some work with multiple artboards and allow different forms of interaction. I kind of miss Flash sometimes when I'm working with Adobe XD, and it makes me want to prototype in JavaScript instead of XD. I wish we could do simple things like changing state of a different component or assigning the same animation to multiple objects.

I like the Framer approach because it offers the ability to "code" by adjusting values in a panel so you get a sense what's possible but you can also adjust within the code window when necessary.

As i told you Best ever Option is code on XD but more differently then Framer

Would be nice and very futuristic, and prototype if it could be done Code and while coding showing in XD direct what happening.
With that in mind would be in Premiere in The World. -

Adobe XD and Framer are now my best combo for quick prototyping and HF prototyping, respectively. It would be great if we could export layers directly from XD to framer!

Integrating Framer with XD fully would fit really well. Future interfaces will always be worked out interactively and tools are mostly not ready for a lot of designers less capable of coding. Having XD added with this would be awesome!
(@eugene: SMIL is already marked deprecated multiple, going for CSS animations and/or JS instead long-term probably makes sense)

Please no javascript. We develop for mobile, we support SVG SMIL animations, but not CSS or javascript. Please use SMIL as the animation script in AdobeXD.

Hey Dezideriu. I also know php, MySQL, Css, JavaScript, etc. I am also certified from various universities in all of them. These languages take years to learn, which defeats the purpose of a quick prototype communication tool for designers who's job is not to study code for years. That is why I recommend Adobe XD come up with something like principle that is quick and easy fora team of designers to learn and use. I also like framersjs, however, I think FramerJs is not as easy to be creative with as a tool like Principle. The quicker and easier you can express an idea, the more creative you can be. __ I mean this statement only as an open ended debate, and I mean no offense to anyone. _____ Cheers. ____ Manuel Ryan Espinosa

I first recommend looking at principleformac.com before jumping into adding scripting.

This is one of the ways XD can take critical market share, and would be a welcome addition. If the idea is to build a tool that covers everything from wireframing upto borderline-production level prototyping, then it's essential.

or what if Adobe just buys framer.js or builds a similar capability directly into the tool. It can be a third mode in addition to the Design, Prototype and 'Code'. This way user can create prototypes by combing Design and Code.

It would be nice idea, in order to be able next to give this animation to developers, so they know all the data behind it. This way, the animations (or appearance of the animations) are consistent between the design and the dev teams. +1

Hi Adam, I propose that instead of exporting to Frame, XD manage own scripting code , what do you think? http://bit.ly/29kDgJR

This relies heavily on layers and layer groups, but I would be much quicker to adopt XD ad my tool of choice if it integrated with Framer for detailed prototypes and interactions.
