Export Measurements for Developers
Now that Adobe XD allows designers to measure all their elements. There's still the problem of having to deliver the design to the developers. They always require a spec sheet with the measurements. They don't want to download Adobe XD because they think it's hard to use, and would rather have a PDF opened instead.
It would be great to have a feature where I can have the measurements present itself on the page when I export to PDF, instead of having to manually type in the measurements as well as drawing the lines between the elements of my app or website design.
This feature is crucial!
We’ve released the Design Specs feature in our November release this week as a Beta. You can now publish a Design Spec directly from XD, and your developer can get measurements of objects by selecting the object from the detail view of the screen. We’re working on additional functionality for this feature and are looking for feedback, so please try it out and file new feature requests in this area against the Design Specs feature area.
Thanks,
-Elaine

Can't believe this feature is under review after all this time! I just had to get my dev to install XD to use my prototype. Without this, I'll have to ditch it. What a waste!

I agree this is a MUST! Our devs love the inspect + sketch an I am switching from PC to MAC just so I can use these features. XD also needs much more robust export functionality.

Actually not using XD because this feature is not present and would really like to see it because I think it can be better than what is offered by your competitors products.

Zepelin intergation for the time being while the XD team develops an even better version that combines learning from Zepelin and Invision and puts the Adobe touch on top. Well for the time being please please bring in Zepelin integration!!!

Sure! I think the best option is to have inspect mode when sharing prot. Comments mode/ Inspect mode for devs. I believe that XD will knock out it's competitors with this feature. XD definitely more intuitive, it has prototype feature build-in, thus no need for third party tools (sketch+craft+invision) too much hustle-bustle. But at the moment my company is not ready for shift. Hope in the future XD will become the only tool necessary for all experience challenges!

Spec mode is enough, having to export a PDF and saying someone won't open Adobe XD is just being lazy.

Definitely! HuaWei demands this feature when we introduced XD to them. Please do have this feature!!!

YES!! It could either be a PDF, or, I think more ideally, it would be like the live shared link for the prototype. That way, I can share a link and continue to make any last minute tweaks without having to keep sending new PDFs and feel confident that they will always have the latest version.

This is definitely a crucial tool to have in XD. Drawing them by hand is way to time consuming. Sketch has a few add-ins that handle this sort of thing. maybe you could implement something like what they have.

More then crucial, drawing the measurements is too time consuming

Do you have an idea when it will get ready, I really love to use this tool but I really need this feature or I will be forced to change to other tool.
