Is this some sort of contest between development and users? I wish I could upvote, like, or otherwise add my voice to all these comments.... but of course - that standard comment section function does not exist... much like scrollbars in this software. I can imagine the product manager is some designer with about a 50 inch monitor who says things like "the design is so clean.... cant you see how clean it is?" while everyone stands around looking at his blank white canvas and applauds....

If someone from Xd development team has very strong anaphylactic shock reaction to scrollbars, then make them optional hidden under settings/preferences.
Please just stop torturing all of us who wanted to shoot that guy multiple times a day, but unfortunately can't do it for various reasons :)
6 years people are asking for it. How hard it was to have it in the 1st place? Basic functionality that will make all of us happier. I think it worth it. Thank you so very much in advance!

Hi, I am using Adobe XD inside VMware/Citrix, and I can't move the artboard that grab hand gesture doesn't show to be able to move around when I hold the space bar on keyboard and click left mouse. Please assist me. I am using apple mouse and keyboard. The Trackpad on my MacBookPro doesn't work too.

To get around this limitation, grab an object and move it around where you'd like to scroll to. This will cause the viewport to move in the direction you'd like to go.

Not all trackpads work the same. That's also assuming we have a trackpad.
Using the mouse scroll wheel takes forever when you have 20+ artboards and need to go from point A to point B. It takes me about 30 seconds to do this, meanwhile a scroll bar would've taken a few seconds.

Currently, there are no vertical or horizontal scroll bars that allow you to quickly navigate to the bottom of a long page I am designing. Instead, I must use two hands to move about the canvas. I either have to press the space bar along with dragging the mouse, and drag up the page multiple times, or use the roller on my mouse which hurts my finger.

Seriously.........still no scroll bars.......this is literally insane.

haha, you think real people are willing to do that stuff? i especially like the idea of telling an inexperienced user to push their wheel up and down in order to make their screen move right and left. just give them a scrollbar. if you REALLY can't bring yourself to correct this past bad decision, make it an option.

Just a simple request, this has been driving me absolutely crazy.

Can you please implement a horizontal scroll bar on the design mode section, so we can easily move between the designs

When I'm running user tests I have to tell my participants that there is content further down the page - the lack of a scroll bar indicates to them that there is not. If they do not have a mouse wheel, I then have to explain to them that they must hold down the space bar and click/drag with the mouse in order to reach that content. The feedback on this functionality is invariably negative. There you go Adobe, I have consistent user feedback that breaking totally standard UI patterns is a bad idea and you should rethink. I will send you my invoice for consulting...

Totally stupid to have this limitation. Why can't I scroll without a mouse or trackapd? Sounds really artificial, found no explanation to justify this.

Great Point. Adobe has really lost its way on several pieces of software.

Here's what I don't understand... Why restrict the window as if it's loaded in an iframe at all, but If your going to do that, we need scroll bars, bare minimum so it's obvious to the people we are presenting interfaces too.

I often times send my prototypes off, to steak-holders in other parts of the world, and can't always walk them through things do to the time zone differences, and even when I tell them things are scrollable, they often miss that, until I have personally shown them.

For a software that's meant for the designing of UIs, Adobe XD has a pretty poor UI.

It boggles the mind that this has been an open request for literally years.

Beyond being an essential navigational control, the scroll bar IS the affordance for users to know that there is more content lower on the page. Were XD not the choice of my enterprise, I would absolutely be using Invision/Sketch or another competitor. This is table stakes functionality for prototyping.

Try explaining the workarounds Mr. Flynn posted above to the average user in the time-limited, sometimes stressful context of a user test.

This is troublesome, because the presentation view doesn't have a scrollbar, so if you want to return to the top of a very long page, then you have to use the scrollwheel. If you don't have a scroll wheel there is no way to scroll down or up?
