Dynamic margins between individual text boxes in Repeat Grid mode

Text properties has been greatly improved with individual portion styling in May update, including colours in the fresh June update.

However, the individual formatting doesn't conform to text files that are dragged into a text box in Repeat Grids mode (unless the number of characters in each word is matching exactly, see attachment ‘DragDropFormatting’).

I would love to see a feature in the future that lets you set up spacing margins between text boxes that are meant for ‘drag and drop’ text files. This lets you use individual styling for each box and keep the spacing consistent. See attachment ‘TextBoxMarginsHorizontal’

This feature would go well with my current workflow, where I have ‘stock’ text files for different inputs categories, and can simply drag these inputs into their correspondent text box, instead of merging lots of text data beforehand.

    I think this can be done with stacking individual text boxes in a row, then using repeat grid on that row.

    This is really a feature requirement for repeat grid! If I'm making a nav bar, the spacing is going to be really weird, because it's all just text. So, if one nav tab says "Home" and the other says "About Us", the spacing is going to act like "Home" is the same length as "About Us". Therefore, the spacing will look really weird, unprofessional and not correct. There needs to be an option for this.
    This might be a problem when you have multiple rows and columns however, there should be an option for this.

    It's ridiculous that this hasn't been addressed yet. What do I even need the repeater grid for if I can't have even spacing between my text elements?

    Being able to add margins to shapes via properties would be helpful too. This would allow designers to pull symbols with approved spacing into their designs for things like buttons to help take the guess work out and to help drive a cohesive system of defined spacing applied to specific components.

    Yes, when objects are in grid it would be awesome if they are defined by relative position to each other and not by absolute position on the grid canvas. This would be a huge time saver for creating horizontal navigations! Also it could open the path to dynamic grid size (would like to see it as a toggle as current approach makes sense in lot of examples).

    This is my biggest issue with Repeat grid. It's only useful for single lines of text as well. If you have a repeating list of text and one data element needs 2 lines instead of 1, it cuts it off. In responsive web design, this is something that drives me nuts...

    Scaling margins within a group of objects (with the mouse).

    This will save a lot of time when editing!
