Export Options
Need to export high-quality PNGs and JPGs
For general use propose - saving into PDFs, Keynote, sending in addition to the working prototype
The PNG export option for the artboard results in an asset that is too poor of quality for general use
We’d like individual suggestions to be more fine-grained so others can upvote the specific features they’re interested in, and we can get a better picture of which are most important.
Some of the ideas mentioned here have already been suggested separately. Please upvote these if they’re relevant to you:
- JPG export: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/12942069-export-to-jpg
- PDF export: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/12930903-export-assets-as-pdf (coming soon!)
Some of the other topics here are not yet captured anywhere else. Can you create individual, separate suggestions for these with more details about your needs for each one?
- Keynote export
- PNG export poor quality (Can you file a bug with more details about the quality problems you’re seeing? PNGs exported from XD should generally be very high-quality)
Thanks for your feedback!

Would be a HUGE deal to be able to export to captivate. I work with a remote team and need to do the ID work so as to instruct on exactly what I need. I've found XD to be brilliant and intuitive but when it comes to handing it over it has to be rebuilt from scratch. If they could open these files directly into captivate or XD can export a captivate version that would save a LOT of time and money for my business.

The quality for PDF export is really bad, it would be nice to have the high quality for PDF Export as Illustrator has.

I design all platforms @1x, and when possible avoid scaling icons and certain export elements used from web/ios/android. So for me a different export menu structure would be beneficial. Not sure how this works for all other scenarios, but here is the solution: http://adobe.ly/2bGiR1p

FWIW @Jessica, you can choose 'Web' when exporting and then you'll have both standard and high-DPI versions generated.

Hi Jessica! Please elaborate on what you mean by "poor quality". We don't alter the rendition or quality of our PNGs, can you per chance share an example of what you are seeing?
