I’m happy to announce that starting today, with the latest update, Artboard Guides functionality is part of XD!

Creation is very simple, you can simply point to the top and left of any artboard, click and drag to create guides.

    Horrible implementation. I have to zoom all the way out to the edge of my artboard to create a ruler. Horrible UX

    It is so frustrating that i have to zoom out, find the artboard, then finally can add guides to the canvas. Can we have rulers just like another adobe app so then we can put guides at any zoom state?

    Draggable rulers from vertical and horizontal axis would be a GREAT improvement with XD. It is essential to have gutters that are consistent, and the program currently isn't always consistent with guides auto snapping elements in place. Illustrator-ish rulers for XD pleaseeeeeeeeee...pretty please!

    Still would prefer guides come from the x/y axis of the whole view rather than from the artboard itself! If I have a loooong artboard, I have to scroll WAY up to find the top of the artboard to drag the guide WAY back down the page. Super frustrating.

    Is adobe has any desire to fix this essential simple feature? I don't even think it is a feature, it is a defect! I look at the design and cannot measure what how it is measured.

    I can't drag a guide easily if I'm working on a long page and I'm in the middle of that page or the bottom. This is a poor experience, compared with ALL THE OTHER Adobe apps that allow you to drag from the ruler. Stupid.

    Please add global rulers also do XD. The artboard ruler is a nice to have, but often I also need global rulers. Also, I have alsways to zoom out or scroll to the top of the artboard to get a ruler and scroll back all the way down. This could be solves with a standard ruler on to the top and left of the the entire working platform and use a keyboard short cut to decide whether it is a global line or an artboard line. Right now it is very limiting and slowing down the performance!

    The way the guides are implemented is just terrible. Guides work best with rulers, give us the ruler already. You can't call XD a UI/UX tool when it doesnt have the most basic thing like a ruler.

    Hey there, It would be great if we could add guides the same way PS, Ill and Indd allow.

    I'm currently working on a deep artboard (website) and if I want to add a horizontal guide down the bottom, I have to scroll all the way back to the top, then drag it all the way to here I am working. Very counter productive.

    the guides are not movable.
    also with guides, there must be an option to show rulers to get the idea of where to add.
