View and share design prototypes at actual size
The full-screen feature is nice but I need to be able to show clients what my designs will look like at actual size on the web. The prototypes need to be displayed at the size they are designed at. This is the one feature that would justify me switching from using InVision for my prototyping.
You can now choose the zoom setting in the shared prototype. By setting it to 100%, you’ll be able to see the screen at the designed zoom level, regardless of the viewport. If you have additional feature requests, please feel free to file them as new tickets!

Is there a way to default to 100%? this is important when using XD prototypes for user testing

It should have option to set 100% by default. But if not you can decrease the viewport height. More you decrease it, more it will cover the left and right blank spaces. I tried it on mine 1366x768 resolution but decreased viewport height to 700.
Hope it will help you guys!
Thanks

I have been finding so many question on this. So I did a test creating a custom artboard: 414px x 320px. When sharing with others it shows the artboard at 75% of the actual size. Even though view is set to 100%
Why does this do this? i cant find any settings to change this

Agreed. There should be a way of sharing a prototype link to a client that's 100% zoomed in instead of having to instruct them to do it manually.

It should automatically open at 100%. Imagine sending a link to a client and having to instruct them on how to change it to 100% (press ESC, go to top-right toolbar and change view setting to 100%, then click the double-arrow icon to remove the toolbar to see at full context -- because the toolbar adds additional height!)

This feature does not seem to be completed. There needs to be a way to set the view to 100% so it displays at the actual size. It's opening at 45.6% - no idea what determines this.
(Setting to open in full screen is actually worse and pretty much useless right now - because it will open in full screen without the viewer knowing that it's shrunk, and without any way to even fix it since the controls are hidden.)

+1 - no way to share in 100% width (i get 68.4%). I want to get 100% + Fullscreen without any extra click from the client (The presentation mode also not working properly). XD works like invision (+ without slow scroll) only if you:
1. select design review mode ==> 2. Open the link and: a. Set the width to 100% + b. Set full width. -

This should be a simple solution, just have an option to center screen and hide overflow, just like Marvelapp does. Come on adobe it's been years, this thing is several pages long with requests for this feature, just do it already.

What we need is an option in "Share" mode in the "View Settings" to set the shared prototype to open at 100% just like there is an option to set it to "Open in Full Screen".

My shared prototype opens at 67.1% - I know I can set it to 100% but I see no reason why it opens in this zoom setting. I want my client to click my link and see everything as should be. Also, when I zoom to 100% everything gets pixelated.

Adobe are you still there? It's been 4 years now and there still isn't an option for this, now I have to make my designs x2, and then when exporting for review scale it at x0.5, just add an option to scale to fit my preview...

Would be great to have an option for to resize to fit screen, both in share mode but also in preview. So if you are designing on a 2560x1440 resolution monitor and the design is 1920x1080, you could scale up or down depending on the viewing monitor.. E.g. my secondary screens is 23.5 inch monitor with 1920x1080, if I fullscreen the preview window I get black sides in the preview window.

Let's say the 100% view of design does not fit on the monitor will it show any scroll bar? Because the client cannot see the whole design because scroll bar is not available.

I've found a quick fix for this problem.
You just need to create the new board with pre-defined values. for example on my case I needed a 1920x1080.- Just click on the canvas and create a new board "web 1920" instead duplicating
- if you need more vertical space, just increase the size of the board. you will notice a blue line with something that looks like a separator. (see the attached image)- Now all the links will be presented on preview with 100%
I think its a bug because since I don't remember create any board manualy, I just duplicated the original first one. however it has lost that blue line in the process.
Now creating new boards using pre-defined sizes fixed the problem for me showing all the links at 100% on preview and shared preview :D
Hope it helps.

I wonder which user test they did to end up with a preview that can't show a linked page prototype at 100%.
Something like this is a must-have. I lost a lot of time doing interactions and links on XD and ended up having to work and share the preview from invasion.
It's not only frustrating, but also is mind-blowing. xd really need to step up. because after this, I (just like a lot of others ux/ui designer) will stay with other ux tools -

The problem is simple don't upscale design!
scaling it down to fit the browser window is understandable.
But scaling it up doesn't make any sense. regardless of any full screen options
