Add Custom Artboard Size Preset
It would be great to have another section for Artboard presets that are your own. I have a few sizes I like to use that are not a preset and would be great if I could define my own name them and have a category of most used or user defined. Maybe Just a My category for presets. Thanks much I am loving this app a great deal keep up the awesome work!

Wow, since 2016? I love how responsive Adobe is.
Of course, they have a habit of forcing things on you. For instance, in their video software they give you a ton of LUTs that you'll never use, but they are listed in program files so if you want to (and have rights to) change them, you have to do it for every update or they come back. Use dual monitors and set up workspaces? Same crap. They store them in stupid locations, and they push their own on you. So you better keep a backup somewhere or when they do a full version update your previous workspaces are gone. The funnies part of that is that the workspace is stored with the file, but it won't actually be used unless you actually Have it on your computer.
Adobe's usability, especially cross program, is a joke. This feature really isn't Needed, But it's nice to have and would just make using the software more pleasant. Also, why in the world did they not make the categories collapsible? I'll likely never use a watch template. Let me just collapse it and keep it that way until I open it up. Maybe let me favorite some of the templates also and keep those in their own menu. This really isn't something that's incredibly difficult to do. If they would just either do it, or have them all stored in a simple XML (or similar, like json maybe) file (OUTSIDE of program files, and outside of specific Versions too) then that would even be good enough.

Aobe, just offer a list of the last 8 custom sizes that were used to create new documents via the home screen (add a menu to the 'Custom Size' button) and I guess everyone would be happy. This does not sound like a lot of work.

So they updated the preset and now we have fewer options. This is a step backward imo. Also, just out of curiosity, do other designers use 16:9 for webpage design? 3:2 or even 16:10 feels more natural to me since most web content, especially text needs to stay under 900px wide or so to be readable. The web presets feel very out of touch to me.

I've created a plugin to do this! It also provides additional common preset sizes. Check out Artboard Presets in the Plugin Manager or use this direct link:

Description of the feature
I like that you can select which project size you want to start out with on the homescreen. But sadly it lacks variation and flexibility. I would like to add custom-ones, would love to see more presets than simply "Android" but also more options of that as well (different "types" as in Figma and Sketch).
Why this is valuable to you
It would help me work faster with different devices since I don't have to google certain ratios and sizes as well as the possibility to use recently used items (that I use for Dribbble-Shots, custom Website sizes etc.)

How is this not solved yet?

Open up Sketch.
Select NEW / FROM TEMPLATE / WEB DESIGN.
Edit the artboards to your liking.
Save the blank file locally.
Open up XD.
Open that Sketch file and be happy.

In addition to creating custom presets I'd also like to be able to alter default presets. For instance 3:2 and 16:10 are more and more common for laptop and desktop displays. I prefer these when designing webpages as opposed to 16:9.

+1 on this. I mostly use 1600 x 900. What this means is I have to enter the size over and over again every time I create a new file. Would be great if it at least remembered the last size I used. even better if I could define my own default sizes or templates and replace the iPhone, iPad, and Web options with my own templates. I never use those three options.

I think it will be nice if we can save different artboards sizes. I design for custom screen sizes not included in the preset artboards in XD and entering sizes everytime I want to design is really annoying.

XD version 12.0.12.10
1. Open XD and create a new artboard with the Web 1366 template (or any non-default template).
2. Create a second artboard.
3. Notice that the new artboard is created with the Web 1366 settings.
4. Save the file and exit XD.
7. Restart XD re-open the file and create a new artboard.
8. Notice that the artboard crated uses the iPhone 6/7/8 template.Expected behavior: New artboards should be created with the Web 1366 template.

How is this not already a feature?

Creating a new document shows 4 options:
1 (Phone)
2 (Tablet)
3 Web (with options)
4 Custom SizeIt would be great to have the ability to set multiple "Defaults" under "Custom Size" as I typically have 2-3 sizes I am ALWAYS going to be using.

Wondering why this isn't a feature in the current stable version.
It's nice to create dartboards with own sizes, yes. But it would be nice to save this sizes as presets like in all the other applications. Or maybe to add them to the default presets. i.e.: to add iPhone 4/4s and iPhone X to the iPhone presets -

Another +1 for custom artboard presets. I'm mostly working on video resolutions that are non-standard compared to the current preset selection and it would be very helpful to have custom size presets available.

I know it's frowned upon to say this, but... I do all of my design in Sketch (mostly because of their grid layouts and because their design tools are more robust) and all of my prototyping in XD. So many of their presets overlap, but none of the web ones do. I'd love if the list of presets either encompassed theirs, or if we could add our own presets.

I design for many screen sizes that are not "standard" web resolutions and custom sizes are important for us ... right now when I even need to "paint" the custom sizes, as resizing the standard ones causes the scroll area to appear

When opening the application there are a set of generic size templates based on devices (iphones, ipads, etc). The issue with using devices as a basis for UI design is that many of us are working responsively with breakpoints that aren't always set based on a particular device. These breakpoint sets are often re-used across a platforms full experience as templates for consistency. It would be wonderful to be able to save custom document sizes as defaults. This way when we open the application the document size portion of the helper screen will be of use versus and unnecessary default information that may at some point become obsolete.

I mostly design kiosk software, which means designing for full-screen displays, often in portrait orientation (generally 1080x1920).
It would be helpful to be able to add my own list of template sizes based on the displays I design for, or at least to be able to clone an existing page to create a new one.
