Reset Bounding Box (don't match rotation of shape/path)
Please implement a ‘Reset Bounding Box’ function for drawn vector shapes. They conflict with alignment and centring.

Have the same problem here!

Can't believe there is no way to do this yet. Adobe lost another satisfied customer.

Same issue here in 2020. Angled bounding boxes really take away from XD's awesome "design on rails" aspect.

Encountered this problem several times now, but it is also problematic for exporting for developer. Every time I have an asset that needs to be rotated in different positions on different artboards, exporting it for dev, it keeps the original parameters of the asset pre-rotation, ie, a 600px wide x 200px tall asset that gets rotated 90 degrees, on export, it keeps the original 600px wide x 200px tall even though it should be 200px wide by 600px tall. Also had to copy and paste from illustrator as a work around, but a reset to remove the rotation would be very useful.

Yes, we encountered a similar problem today where rotating a shape also rotated the box. In order to fix it we copied and pasted into illustrator and then copied and pasted back into XD. Fixed the problem, but would be great if it was built into XD.
