Import/Open Sketch files
I would like to transition from Sketch to XD, but with so many clients files created in Sketch, I would need an easy way to open the Sketch files in XD and save them as native XD files.
Hi everyone,
Happy to announce that we’ve just released this feature!
You can bring a Sketch file into XD by simply opening it with the CMD-O command or by selecting “Open” from the “File” menu. It automatically converts into an XD file with your artboards, layers, symbols, and effects ready to use.
You can find more details about March release here:
https://theblog.adobe.com/march-2018-update-adobe-xd/
We’re continuing to improve this feature, so expect even more in the upcoming releases. In the meantime, check what’s currently supported here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/kb/open-sketch-files-in-xd.html
Let us know your feedback.
Cheers,
Dan

Sketch is still out of sync with XD

Seems like adobe is not watching this thread :-/
I'm very interested in prototyping with XD but adobe xd is unusable at this stage without sketch import that *doesn't* butcher my layouts / colors / etc.
You launched the Sketch-import feature but seem not to be making any attempt to fix it. Please advise whether this is on your roadmap or...?

Still an issue: Imported sketch files have lost all cropping on images. Images display as full sized and uncropped/masked

OPens a blank document every time. Please fix this bug. Many files in the mid of my work and I am stuck cause XD opens a blank artboard for every sketch file that i try to import

Looking to switch to XD and import is currently not working (Sketch 50). Would love to have an update when it does.

Latest update does not import sketch files, XD proves unreliable again!!

Doesn't work for me either with the latest Sketch and latest Xd update. Artboards are imported but they're all empty.

This is not working for me at all. Using Sketch 50 with Latest XD update.
I would love to use XD completely in the future, but I do have files I need to work on from sketch. -

Doesn't open files created using sketch 50. All the artboards are empty.

For some reason my sketch files are still greyed out when trying to open using Xd. Is anyone else still having this issue? Using Adobe Xd CC v. 4.0.12.6

This is a great start towards picking up our workflows from Sketch!
Problems with the first implementation on my side:
- I have to have only one page in the Sketch file
- Resized symbol instances get messed up and scale back to the original size before importing -

This works with the last update. You can open Sketch and .PSD files.

When it will be available?
I've tried to import a Sketch EPS from illustrator to XD and it's not working well... The import create a lot of small elements, very annoying to work on it.
Please add this feature soon!
Thanks.
