Link to external URLs
Link a button that can link like a hyperlink to another web page like youtube or my own Web Page
Hi All! Check out today's update of XD. It is version 47 and includes the ability to make any object a hyperlink. To use hyperlinks:
1. Go to Prototype mode
2. Select an object and add an interaction.
3. Choose a trigger like Tap.
4. Choose the action Hyperlink.
5. Add a destination URL.

Feature under review for over three years? Maybe I should swap back to Sketch or Marvel. They actually listen to their users. Didn't you guys learn anything when you bought Macromedia? Macromedia ALWAYS listened to Flash users - it's why your Flash killer FAILED and you had to buy Macromedia in the end.
Please listen to your users they put the money in your wallet. We can put it elsewhere remember that.

How many requests will it take to add this feature?

Why is this still under review? should be pretty straightforward and would make overall flow experience so much better.
Please make this happen! -

This feature would be particularly useful to link design systems with complex documentation or video walkthroughs (which I cannot currently embed).
In addition I would really love to embed to have the option to load the target in a frame so that I would not have to maintain links back to XD, this way I could link to Vimeo etc to play video etc without leaving my prototype

Team! I could not finish the webpage in Adobe XD and the team I am working with they were not so happy for the delay. This is just because of url link option, I hardly believe this. I should start all again in Dreamweaver or in Muse, I am crying :(

As it is still under review I'll give you some constructive user feedback:
We need this to be able to link prototypes between them. You cannot create a complex software in just one XD file, made by multiple designers (no, we cannot co-edit one file, it would be complicated).
At this moment I have to share several links with stakeholders and instruct them verbally how these are linked. This is not about adding links to Youtube or whatever external website, which would not make any sense, who cares. If you want, limit URL to your domain, make me insert prototype ID or link, make artboards linkable between files, I don't care. I just need to be able to link prototypes, it is fundamental feature. -

This is by far the most important feature for my purposes. I am working on a platform where my artboards for each module occupy most of the canvas for a single XD file. I'd like to be able to use external linking capabilities to navigate across multiple XD prototypes for a fluid user experience, instead of tabbing over to the next prototype.
I can't imagine this feature isn't in the pipeline for product updates. But would love to know when it will be released.

How is this still under review?
Really, it belongs under 02 : Prototype mode, since it’s about a user flow! Let’s get this going! 🙌

This is one of the most basic features in every other prototyping tool. It really feels like XD was NOT designed by designers. ;/

I'm disappointed once more to see that this feature also was requested years ago, by two and a half thousand people and still hasn't been implemented. The requester even included the visual design for it.
To me, Adobe has an even bigger potential vs Google and Apple for creating better products. But I just can't understand this sluggish improvement pattern in all of their products.
InDesign even has this feature. And there are a lot of things that InDesign does better, but the actual digital screen design. All you could do is to pull that workforce from there into here for a couple of weeks to figure a few features out for XD. It can't be that hard. Almost feels like it's not being done on purpose so the design industry doesn't advance as quickly.

I can't believe that this program, of all the adobe programs, doesn't offer the option of hyperlinks??!! That seems like among the first things they should have done. First, make sure you can link within your file, then, make sure that you can link outside of it, like URL's, email links, etc. It seems like if there was one program that can do that, it would be ths one - but it's the opposite. you can do this in every other adobe program. PLEEEASE add this, Adobe. It seems almost pointless without it - it is a Prototyping app after all.
