Import layered Fireworks PNG's
A lot of us have been using Fireworks for creating web/app layouts. If we could import those layered png's into XD it would really help to smooth the transition.

Since you dropped Fireworks support how about Fireworks for iPad.
FW is far and away the best web graphics app in the Adobe stable. It's responsive, lightweight, and easy to get around in.
The AI, Photoshop etc. are great products but a lot of burden overhead.

yes we need to move our projects to the new era

Years after FW stopped being supported I still find it the best app for quick web graphics, mostly as I have a huge archive of .fw files which I recycle. As Craig said, with the arrival of Catalina we are stuffed unless someone comes up with a way of importing them. Surely it's not too much to ask Adobe?

Sería genial que lo aceptara.

With almost 20 years of using Fireworks it’s sad and also frustrating that no other software is capable of importing the layers. Surely it would make sense to have XD be able to complete this task.
With the arrival of Catalina OS it’s the final nail in the coffin for fireworks.

I don't fully agree with your question.
Fireworks is still a viable app on Windows it sucks for Mac. We need an app to be cross platform. Sketch is not. XD possibly is. Just installed the Beta on Win and not to sure if we've been given a serious interface.

Voted!! I'm an avid use of Fireworks too and it would be cool to have such ability to to have an import layered Fireworks PNG's.

Xd should definitely have backwards compatibility with Fireworks, I too have thousands of interface designs and concepts in Fw.

Couldn't Agree More. This would be Huge. While Fireworks is still a viable app on Windows it sucks for Mac. We need an app to be cross platform. Sketch is not. XD possibly is. Just installed the Beta on Win and not to sure if we've been given a serious interface.
The ability to import our existing Fireworks files cross platform would be huge.
PLEASE ADOBE, do this before we abandon hope that you are taking designing for responsive web seriously and move to other platfoforms

Since you killed Fireworks and this is the closest you've gotten to replacing it: Make it able to import Fireworks editable PNGs with the contents separated and editable. We have thousands of hours of development that have to be redone otherwise.

Agreed! Every year Fireworks gets more buggy. Since even before they officially abandoned it it was going down hill but there were no alternatives until Sketch came along. While Fireworks still opens on latest Macs, if you open too many windows or open large files in the latest version it crashes. And can only assume in the next version of OS X, compatibility will break completely and Adobe won't update it as they will use it as a chance to officially get everyone to stop using it, in favor of Photoshop, Xd or Sketch.
Sadly Adobe has been some bad to it's Fireworks following that all the users who would be clamoring for this feature most likely no longer exist because they switched to Sketch. So I imagine Adobe won't see it worth their wild to add backwards compatibility with Fireworks sadly. If they did, it will probably prevent the remaining fireworks users from switching to sketch, but doubtful.
