Fonts preview
When you choose font for text, would be good to have some preview about how it'll look.

I am not requesting anything different than the others who are on this page. My thought is simply, how much work would it actually take to make this possible? It's been an issue for four years, and it wouldn't take the amount of effort and work that a completely new feature would. It already functions in all other things, Adobe.
I am not typically disappointed in Adobe, but for this to have been an issue for so long is truly sad.
Please let us preview our fonts.

2020: riots in the streets and no font preview option? My assignment was to create a wordmark, and I was working in PS, and I was told to move to XD, and I would think a UI tool, of all things, would have a font preview.
Please add basic features into this app, like font preview, so that it is consistent with the Adobe family!

You can use the arrow keys to move up and down, as long as the dialogue box isn't open

Please make it possible to preview fonts!!! It's a program dealing with text and layout. New user and imagined this to be basic. Would make everything so much easier and better. And end products coming out of this soft wear surely nicer ;)

How the hell is this still missing adobe?

Making design decisions is SO much easier with a font preview. It's a feature I really like in illustrator, photoshop, indesign etc.
Competing prototyping software doesn't use it either, so that would give Adobe a big advantage

Why is this not included in XD, where illustrator and the other apps have the feature?

Well, this truly is an important feature that's missing. You can see the font in Assets Character Styles panel. I imagine it takes a bit of performance toll (Photoshop takes a few seconds to open my 1000+ font list and generate previews...) but it is worth it IMO. Made me learn font names. Now I'm quite knowledgeable in that regard LOL, but I shouldn't work that hard with this small issue.

Stephen Coles has supplied a brilliant and comprehensive list of font suppliers. I would add that there is a great tool out there for testing Google webfonts and custom fonts live in your browser - so if you do a 'try before you buy', you can see exactly how they will not only look but perform on your site. webfont|test is available as both an extension and in browser. This may not assist you with fonts for general graphic design, but for webfonts, it is amazingly useful.

Honestly, for a company that designs apps for designers this is probably one the largest issues a designer faces while using this APP and it is most arguably the largest oversight their programmers could make for an APP designed for "designers". Total BS in my opinion.
Once again, a large corporation with a team of designers could not speak up and say something? How did it every pass the QA team to reach the market? Its sounds like a rushed product to me. Get your Sh*t together and give this simple feature upgrade you have had in most of your apps. Its really slows every designer down and is a huge productivity waster.

Hi, is there any update on this feature? Would be great to be able to scroll through fonts and having a preview. Either having the font written in its font, or by previewing the font directly on the artboard without having to first activate it.

Agreed. I've tried the plug in, doesn't seem to work. Unfortunately i will not be using
XD as my designs rely heavily on text. It is taking way too long to try out different fonts,
