Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    We often build our pages with animated Gifts. We also like to use basic "Appearance of graphics" such as a dissolve in, or slide in from right or left to have these graphics appear. I think States, could be the answer here.

    Prototyping in XD would be improved with the ability to add videos.

    Video is one of the most important features for modern apps. This would be a huge help particularly for AR app prototyping.

    If this is something you can do in PPT, you should be able to do this in XD! Come on Adobe!

    Protopie is killing it in terms of advanced features like video and much else. Come on Adobe, you guys have been making video apps for so long, leverage some of that.
