Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    Desperately need it! Edge animate was the best for creating rich usable animated demonstrations that could be passed to coders with ease so anything that helps XD bridge that loss will be welcomed. (please don't mention Animate - it's a dog without legs. Adobe ditched the wrong app)

    Have you tried TinyTap? it let's you import videos and gif's and include narrations
    Get the iPad version to create

    Dear Adobe-Team, so many requests, but you don't publish a word. Please answer us: do you plan to make it possible to integrate video and sound in XD in the nearest future and to make us happy or is there anything standing against this would-be-wonderful-wish of all the designers who don't code? Even if there is a reason why not to make this available, please tell us, and why?

    Please add a feature in Adobe XD where it allows us to import PR or AE files. or at least Video.

    For sure the feature is important. If you prefer, please implement an timeline to create object with animation (like in flash)

    Is there anybody here ? This function is very important to simulate UI and to test UX.

    This is not just for fun ! Animation of item induce attract the attention of the user.
    So adobe team, please, do something for you users ….

    Come on man, you guys are Adobe, should have been had this feature, you guys are the boss of shit like this.l, Please get this done and blow figma, avocode, sketch, zeplin, everybody out the water ..
