Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview
Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.
To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:
MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.
Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!
XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

I absolutely love XD. Adobe has done a great job with lots of intuitive UI aspects for designers to engineer tbeir ideas... But seriously guys... too many people waiting far too long now for our hard work and visions to be brought to life with essential but basic media tools.
I used Angle and Anima in Sketch 4years ago to animate gifs into a slanted phone screen.. cant believe we've been formally begging for over a year now to have an XD update that allows video files to be pasted into any number of any shaped container. Torture.
Pleeeeeeze, if you put us out of our misery soon enough i could pitch such a professional prototype that it'll help raise enough funds to launch a gamechanger of an app that adobe would be forever proud to have played a part in.
Bit of timeline and tweening (without having to use chargeable plugins) would be truly amazeballs.. its the least we expect from such pioneers in this creative field.
Plus hyperlinks..
What else would be incredible is a hot key to click select nested states directly through hundreds of asset layers, to reduce wear to my trackpad and arthrirltis in my index finger due to a gazillion clicks an hour.
There has to be something good happening in 2020, before another winter further depresses such a terrible year.

I, too, would like to be able to import videos into XD and watch them in prototype mode.
It would also be nice to have hyperlinks to be able to download a pdf file for example.
Can you tell us when this will be possible?
