Animate individual elements separately (custom animation transitions / microinteractions)
Support for simple animation.
Example: Show/hide a slide or push menu
This would enhance a demo and engage prospects that are familar with common application patterns.

Can You guys give us at least to start with a function linking several layers inside one artboard with a few transition effects? Right now we can only get close to present staying inside an artboard is to by duplicating several copies as needed and blending in without any delay the target element we like to show. When ever I start trying to get more action with any movement I have to push away the lower layer. Which is not always the case right? I would like to keep the contend where they are in below layers there but animate-in the element i like to do so. Please get at least one or two upper layers linked to next level with some interactions. Thanks.

Yes Just as Principle Acts with All it's Functions! Bring them all on XD. that should be just fine. thanks to all Coders at Adobe XD Dev. Team.

I'll stop using Principle if you get this feature.

It would really help our company for prototyping apps if we had Micro Interactivity such as the attached .gif

It would be great if the UI elements you make available in the UI kits already had their native animations built into the assets.

You guys should implement it like this. If you select a element then there should be a tab or button saying "animate" then hen you click on it you will get a timeline where you can choose starting and ending points.

This is a must have. Like the other users have pointed, having this would really have me on only Adobe XD instead of shuttling between apps!

I would like to have a search input field animating in the screen instead of loading a new page

I work on web-based applications designing interfaces and the user experience. One of the most frustrating aspects of most UX/Prototyping tools out there is the lack of the ability to animate states of the UI components.
This is an essential feature for me and I am very fond of the way Principle handles this type of animation. I love the ability to build custom "components" made up of separate art boards, which can then be reintegrated on the main art board. Best of all is the ease of animation as you need only to move or change the attributes between the component art boards to invoke an animation. Under the animate properties you can select custom timing and animation curves.

How is this in the backlog? This is a very important feature. I have to be able to hand a prototype off showing how elements behave to the devs. This forces me (IF I use XD) to now duplicate my design in Principle App and then animate, giving me no reason to prototype within XD.

Absolutely necessary!
I feel stuck when trying to animate a floating action button and, no way to make a custom animation just for it as you can easilly do with Principle for example.

Any updates from someone at Adobe on this?

As an interaction designer who uses css and Javascript often to bring custom transitions to life, would love that option. Please please. And thank you.

I personally believe that Flinto is a better example to follow. They essentially have a Prototype mode, and then a "Behavior" mode for those microinteractions.

Please make it happen!!

It would be great to be able to do animated transition and micro interactions.
I do have to use Flinto and Framer at the moment to do so, but I'd much rather stay in XD. It's hard to show micro interactions and behaviors at the moment in XD.
A transition designer including gestures would make XD a very complete prototyping tool and it would be much easier to convert my team to it.
