Adobe has always been and will always be my first love, and frankly I am shocked how many people here feel so strongly about dark mode... I personally love it too, but that's not why I moved my team to Figma. Figma is doing so many smart things at the productivity level I just couldn't ignore it anymore. I do miss the repeater grid (a lot), and Figma's interactive components are still a bit buggy, but they are doing so many other things right, that we had to make the jump and my entire team is quite happy with the move. infinite canvas, pages, batch selection and editing, component variations, and more... Plus I don't see a ton of important features in their backlog since 2016... just so much to love about Figma. There is a learning curve, but once the light shines on you, it's magnificent LOL

Also, this feature has been under review since 2016... WTS? LOL

Must have... Adobe, if you want to take over the market, this is your chance. Axure does this, but the UX community doesn't seem to care for Axure's usability. Sketch is fading a bit because of their Mac only approach, and Figma has grabbed a large market share because of their collaboration model. You get this right, release it quick and I think you'd be in good position to stage a comeback on Figma. Plus many of us would love to be able to use one eco system to do all our creative work ;)

We need this for maintaining component states when autoanimating to another artboard as well

Still waiting... This would be easy to implement... You already have the drop down that lets you select a destination for an action, just add component parent states as options in that drop down list. There may programming complications I am not privy to, but you already have a logical place for the functionality in the XD interface ;)... Also those of you voting on this, need to get all your coworkers and colleges to vote on this... It's not going anywhere because it doesn't have enough votes yet ;)

I need this so badly, I voted on this a long time ago, and just came back to see how it's progressing... I just wrote another request that, if combined with this one, would make XD a real powerhouse of micro interaction possibilities.

The new request I just wrote asks for definable hit areas for states... Right now if you have a state and add something bigger to it on rollover(for example), rolling off the original trigger doesn't return to default state, because XD assumes the hit area of the entire new state, weather that was your intention or not LOL.

OMG... I can't believe we are having to ask for this. I was so excited about component states because I assumed it would launch with this ability. This was the first thing I attempted with this feature. I also can't believe I am only the 40th vote on this request, but at least I didn't have to write the request, which I was on my way here to do LOL.

This would make it so XD could destroy the competition on prototyping and it's what I assumed we were getting, when they advertised it as component states, instead of button states... What we got was button states, not component states, what a let down.

I need this too... I am often creating interfaces with light and dark themes these days, and when viewing my prototype and switching to the dark theme the background color being so light is quite jarring.

Here's what I don't understand... Why restrict the window as if it's loaded in an iframe at all, but If your going to do that, we need scroll bars, bare minimum so it's obvious to the people we are presenting interfaces too.

I often times send my prototypes off, to steak-holders in other parts of the world, and can't always walk them through things do to the time zone differences, and even when I tell them things are scrollable, they often miss that, until I have personally shown them.

Frankly it's exhausting and embarrassing having to continually explain the UX issues with my UX tool LMAO

Although Adobe XD does not currently provide scrollbars to navigate the view of your content, there are several different options to pan the viewport around:

    • If you have a trackpad, use two fingers to pan (if you have an Apple Magic Mouse, you can use one finger to pan)
    • Hold down Space Bar and drag the mouse
    • Use the mouse scroll wheel to pan vertically, and use Shift + scroll wheel to pan horizontally

Uh yeah... This is a no brainer, I can't believe we are having to request this, but kudos to adobe for giving us a place to do so.
