@Paul I never said it was flawless ;) But it's easier to change the links in the shortener rather than explaining everytime that the link as changed...

@Christopher : I solved the problem by running an url shortener on our servers. This way, I can change the link and it is transparent for clients and dev teams

    Step 3 is useless

    1. Select a word in the text that you want to change
    2. Select Add Character Style
    4. Right click on the new Character Style and select Edit.
    5. Change the Font to what you want

    In fact, we need both.
    - Clear shared links while saving as
    - Manage links within the file, so we can clear them when we duplicate a file in the system file explorer

I was thinking of a way to remove them manually in the file, but removing it while "saving as" is even more relevant.

This is also relevant for hover that have to be different in a repeat grid

    either that
    - or add inheritance in styles
    - or a "search and replace font" ability
    - or both
    - or all these options

    :)

Yes, I did. And the character styles, as they are designed, is a major pain to maintain. Because every little modification you make to a font is considered a new style. It may not be a problem for app design but for a website, it generate a ton of styles which is as tedious as changing every font manually.

Say I have a Title in Roboto 24pt black, but in a part of the site it's in white because it's on a dark background. Technically, it's the same H1, with just a color change. Then I want to change the font from Roboto to Open sans, I have to change both styles. This is an example over 1 Title, but multiply this by every styles you create I ended up with 100 hundred styles...

By defining font families in the property panel, we should be able to quickly change a font family, character styles would only define the weight, colors, letter spacing, line height, margins, Capitalize, .... And this mimic the way fonts are handled in CSS, helping designers to keep performance in focus by limiting the numbers of fonts.

The page navigation keys should shift view in the current artboard.
"home" should move the view to the top
"page up should move 1 sreen page up
    ...

I’m keeping this one open, but a quick way for your client to share exactly what screen they want to talk about is to send you the URL they have in their browser when they’re looking at the prototype. Because we have deep linking, the URL will bring you right to that artboard.

    Hi,

I would like to understand more about your workflow. What are you trying to achieve and what prevents you doing with the latest XD version?

    Cheers,

Changing a font all over a file is a real pain. Even with styles because a minor modification such as a bold or a color change is considered as a new style. You have to make a style for every little change made and it's not user friendly at all.
It was the same problem with the "symbols" that are now "components". We need a master style that every substyles depends on.
in my opinion., the way Indesign deals with characters styles is the right way to go..
