I never had any luck making the browser chrome disappear and I tested my prototypes extensively on iOS 12.1 (Safari) and Android Pie (Chrome). So if it's possible to make it go away, I never found out how.

As for performance, that's simple to explain. My client has supplied me with an iPad Air 1. Viewing my prototypes in the Adobe XD app results in an acceptable experience, I can see some slowdowns, but it's minor. Viewing the same prototypes on a browser results in an extremely laggy and unusable experience.

Fortunately the client himself has a much newer and faster iPad so he doesn't notice anything, but I can see how viewing the designs in a browser is a much worse experience. Now, you can say that an iPad Air 1 is pretty outdated device, and that's true. But it's also true that a lot of low powered Android tablets are sold daily, so being able to see the prototypes in a optimized XD app is still very important!

Thanks for getting in touch with me.
