Agreed! This actually happens more than i would hope for across all adobe software and it is a DEEP problem.
I can think of differences between Photoshop Illustrator, After Effects and even Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic CC. Adobe XD simply adds on with inconsistency, almost like each software has it's own team and they don't check each others work.

I'd say the rule should be simple: If there are common tools, use common shortcuts.

    Example 1: The Line Shape
    - "\" in Illustrator. -- OK
    - "\" in Indesign. -- OK
    - "U" in Photoshop (Hidden, cuz U actually selects the rectangle shape) -- Why?
    - "L" in Adobe XD -- Why?
    - In After Effects, there is no Line Shape, so it toggles focus between panes -- OK, whatever i guess
    - in Lightroom there is are no shapes, so it's "Toggle Edit on/off" -- OK, That's perfectly fine

    Example 2: The Rectangle Tool
    - "M" in Illustrator -- OK
    - "M" in Indesign -- OK
    - "U" in Photoshop -- Why?
    - "R" in Adobe XD -- Why?
    - "Q" in After Effects - Why?
    - Doesn't exist in Lightroom

You guys know what would be interesting? Listing all common tools and which shortcut it is.

    Here’s how it works currently:

    • If you drag a single image onto a Repeat Grid where all grid cells show the same image, the image will change in all the grid cells.
    • If you drag multiple images onto a Repeat Grid, you will set up a repeating sequence of different images. For example, if I drag in 5 images at the same time, the first 5 grid cells will show different images and then the pattern will repeat (e.g. every 5th grid cell will show the same image).
    • If you drag a single image onto a Repeat Grid that already has a repeating sequence of images, you’ll replace all copies of the image you dropped onto. For example, if you had a sequence of 5 images repeated 3 times (15 total grid cells), and then you drop a single image onto one grid cell, you’ll see 3 copies of that…

I don't understand, auto leading is not about defaulting it when you place 0. I don't get how someone from Adobe does not check how Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop work... I get you guys are different teams but that's just weird.

So let me ellaborate on what we mean when we say we need "auto-leading":

When selecting auto-leading for a text, changing font size will proportionately apply a lead, so that the distance between two lines remains the equivalent ratio.

In practice, the difference between having auto-lead and not having is:

    EXAMPLE WITH NO AUTO LEAD:
if you have a font that is 16pt and have a lead of 16pt, changing font size to 8pt will leave you with text that has a huge gap between two lines.

    EXAMPLE WITH AUTO LEAD:
Having a font that is 16pt and auto-lead (percentage to 120% or something -- value has to be changeable), changing font size to 8pt will leave a gap proportionate to the font-size, and no huge gap in sight.

It's easier to show than talking about it, so i uploaded a video showing how auto-lead works in illustrator.

    Cheers

Was thinking i was doing something wrong... I did not expect to not be able to do this.

I just wanted to do an overlay on top of an overlay without dismissing the first one (because it evokes the animation of the first overlay and only after that does it trigger the second overlay, which results in a weird behaviour)

    This!
I thought this would be in the basic features for Adobe XD. Right Click to replace image is a must, dragging to the image to replace should be an extra, not the other way around
