I found that the order of the pages in your PDF is not actually in the order in which the artboards were created. It is rather based on the X,Y placement of the artboards on your pasteboard. It starts with the artboard on the top left, goes across from there, and then goes down to the next row down.

Ben S knows what he's talking about!! I would write everything he said again, but that would be inefficient. ;)

InDesign has been amazing for years, but falls short when I need to design a page that scrolls. The ability to create interactive prototypes is possible in InDesign, but is just too difficult to be worth using. Xd is on its way... but please use InDesign as the model!

UXPin pins their annotations to the "glass" rather than to objects, so if your project has scrolling you can't pin to items that are outside of the initial area before scrolling. I would love to see Xd do this right and allow you to pin to individual objects.

But other than that, UXPin is a great model for how to enable annotations. Just an entirely separate mode for Documentation, just like how you move into Prototype mode in Xd.

Agree. It would also be nice if you could drag any symbol into a repeat grid and have it just fill the one slot where you place it. Your symbol could be JPG, SVG, vectors/text drawn in XD... whatever.
