Comments completely missing
XD version 188.8.131.52
Comments on my XD prototype have disappeared. I did not uncheck the "Allow Comments" box when updating the link and have not at any point set a password.
While I was on the prototype, I was resolving one of the comments. It showed an error when I tried to resolve the comment and then all comments disappeared as well as the speech bubble icon.
I've tried to 'Update' the link again but the comments do not return.
There is an error showing in the web console.
Also not visible in colleagues browser with the link. I'd prefer to keep the same link as various people are collaborating on this link.
Support has reached out with your issue Tiffany. We’re following up with the engineering team to see if can track down what might be happening for you.

I am having the same problem here! Please fix ASAP! I have some very angry stakeholders because of this.
There where 30+ comments, but as soon as I updated my link for review only one is left

Same problem here. Plz fix.
We had previously published and annotated our prototype on July 25th. The morning of August 3, we published updates and it removed the previous comments on an Overlay of multiple artboards. We were advised to comment here with our issue because the only "fix" is to try unchecking and rechecking "Allow Comments" - however there was a chance that we could lose all comments in doing so. Please contact for prototype link.
It looks like I also had a private link, which is where half of the comments were being added. I just removed it - thanks for making me aware of this. Does this mean all new comments should now be seen on this public link instance?
Also, is there a a feedback post regarding having unresolved comments carry over to an updated link? That would be a helpful feature, in case a designer doesn't make changes to every comment before uploading an update.
@Nina - sure:
Also, it seems like clicking on the original link brings up only the comments of the most recent commenter, which in this case is the creative team we're working with. So I'm assuming, if the client or myself adds new comments, then their comments or mine would be the only ones shown.
I'm experiencing the same thing. It's as if each commenter has a subdomain of the prototype whenever they comment and the only way to see all of the comments is be clicking on the separate notifications pertaining to each commenter. For instance, clicking on any of the notifications for Commenter A reveals only their comments in the prototype; Clicking on Commenter B's notifications from any date reveals only their comments, and so on.

HI Nina any chance I can send it to you in a private message? How would I do that?

Have just retried as well as turning comments off and on and the comments are still missing - other files are working fine. Any other ideas/thoughts?

Same thing happened to us this morning. Extremely frustrating, our client had left dozens of specific comments and now we have to make her do it again on her new link because there seems to be no way to make the comments return except creating a new link.
