  1. Frequent freezes and crashes

    It feels like you really rushed this latest release (2.0.32.10) out the door. I'm having stability problems galore.

    App freezes while I'm working. Unsure if these are related to the Type tool issues reported previously, but I am using the pointer and other tools when this happens.

    I can't accurately reproduce the bug, but I can say that the decline is gradual. First, I cannot save via CTRL-S. Second, any selection of other tools no longer registers on the artboard. The hamburger menu at top left does not open. Eventually, the entire app just freezes and I'm forced to restart.

    • Can't open multiple .xd files at the same time.

      1. Adobe XD 1.0.12.19
      2. For example, I have 2 xd files, let's name them 1.xd and 2.xd. If I open 1.xd, I can't open 2.xd at the same time. Tried to open 2.xd, can't open 1.xd as well.
      3. 1.xd and 2.xd should be opened at the same time.
      4. Only 1 file can be opened at a time.

        Hi,

        Based on your information from Step2 it seems that Open/Cmd+O are enabled but when you choose 2.xd while having 1.xd open in a different window, 2.xd does not open. Do you get an error message in this case?

        Do you get the same results if you try to open the files 1 and 2 from RecentFiles?

      • Error 56 When Trying to "Update Link" to Share Changes Made to Prototype

        Background: I am behind a corporate firewall and believe that not all endpoints have been allowed which is causing this issue. I am able to use the "Update Link" button without an issue from my home network so the issue is specific to the work network. Previously, I was having issues creating galleries where I was getting "Error 44" but I have successfully resolved that issue by having our NetEng team unblock the following URL: https:///cc-api-cp.adobe.io/via port 443.

        Could someone please confirm all the endpoints for Adobe XD Share Online function so the NetEng team at my company can add…

          Sorry to hear you are having trouble using the sharing functionality in XD. An Error 56 indicates that XD was unable to retrieve information about the prototype you were trying to update.

          Please confirm with your IT department that the following network access will not be blocked:

          1. Communication over port 443

          2. HTTP PUT/POST requests to Adobe’s Creative Cloud servers:
          https://cc-api-cp.adobe.io
          https://comments.acrobat.com/

          If you are able to update this prototype from home, but not from work – the issue is likely related to your local network configuration. If all updates to this prototype fail with an Error 56, please send an email to AdobeXDSharingSupport@adobe.com with the URL to the prototype and we can investigate further.

        • Adobe Illustrator does not show drop shadows in SVG exported from XD

            Hi,

            If that is the case I would say that it is Illustrator that is not able to import the drop shadow properly. XD exports it in a way that browsers are able to understand and, correct me if i am wrong, XD is also able to recognize the shadow if you try to import the SVG back.

            I wonder if the shadow exported from XD, the one you viewed in browsers, has the properties you expect from a shadow.

            • hex value is incorrect

              i had this feeling that color seems bit off when i was converting design to html, but no matter how many times i copy pasted exact values they remained off. So i finally took screen shot of my site in html with hex values taken from XD and design in XD, and behold colors are different.

              #3e5fd2 color is being shown as #484ED5

              484ED5 being the wrong value

              • Cannot test with app...

                The app is so slow it will destroy any attempt to do a user test. I cannot have a participant wait 3-5 seconds for the next screen to load or wait 10 seconds if they click on a area that isnt a hit state.

                This is a critical issue and needs to be resolved for product adoption. It is unusable at the moment.

                    We’ve seen this problem when there’s a problem with your Creative Cloud login. The easiest thing to do is to close XD, launch the Creative Cloud desktop app, click the profile picture in the upper right hand corner, and select Sign Out. Then, sign back into the application, then launch XD. Your File > Open should work then.

                  • XD crashes after template selection

                    After starting the application on windows 10 and selecting a template to start prototyping on or even making the application full-screen, it will crash after a few seconds. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, to no effect.

                    • [Mac 10.13] Adobe XD CC exits without error after launch

                      I'm using an imac and I've recently updated XD from beta to CC, but know when I try and open the app it exits without any error messages. This is what happens when I try and launch the app:

                      1. then the intro screen appears for 2 seconds.
                      2. intro screen disappears and app exits without error message.

                      I've already tried uninstalling all apps and Creative Cloud, used the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and then reinstalled.

                      I've also restarted my machine many times and signed in and out of Creative Cloud each time.

                      I've also deleted all other accounts…

                        We haven’t seen this on our side, unfortunately. Can you send us your logs?

                        1. Open Console app (it’s built into macOS, so they can just launch it via Spotlight search)
                        2. Type “Adobe XD” into the search field in upper-right
                        3. In XD, open a document
                        4. Press Ctrl-Alt-Shift-L (they should see a dialog box saying logging is enabled)
                        5. Reproduce the Save failure
                        6. Go back to Console app, and choose File > Save a Copy to save this log to a file
                        7. Send us that log file to xdissuereporting@adobe.com with a link to this bug (https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353010/suggestions/32108857)

                      • [windows 10] when saving XD lock up abnormally long

                        1. XD 2.0.32.10
                        2. make a file with 7 artboards and 7 screenshots
                        - edit the file
                        - Type CTRL+s
                        3. I can continue editing the arboards In a few seconds or less the edited tag on the title changes / disapears
                        4. The edited tag stays, I can select a different tool, bit I can't select items on arboards, zooming CTRL+ +/- does not happen
                        - after 10 or more seconds all the interactions happen and the edited tag disapears

                          • Fuzzy / low resolution when exporting to PNG

                            I've been using XD for a while, and have never had this problem until the last week.

                            I am trying to export icons to PNG, selecting the iOS setting and designed at 100%. The resulting PNGs are fuzzy/pixelated.

                            In the past, I've exported this way and have been able to zoom in to a significant degree without much loss of quality. Now even at actual size the images are very low resolution.

                            Here is a sample of my exports at 1X and 3X. All images are vector shapes and look very crisp within XD.

                            • Large PDF file export

                              I’ve noticed that XD exports PFDs with huge file sizes, even when the document is just a 600 x 600px file with only one image.

                              Could this exporting process be better, so that the PDF doesn’t come out with huge file sizes, or if some low quality export options can be included?

                                  We’re sorry this is happening to you! Can you let us know which version of Windows 10 you’re on? A build number would be best.

                                  If you’re on the Fall Creators Update, we’ve heard from users that the operating system actually invalidated many of the known graphics drivers. You should go to your graphics driver manufacturer’s website to download and install the most recent version of the drivers for your hardware.

                                  Let us know if the graphics driver update fixes this issue!

                                • No "Open" dialog

                                  Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6, XD 1.0.12.19

                                  The "Open" menu option is greyed out. Also double clicking on a .xd-file results in the file not being opened by XD allthough focus shifts to XD or the program starts if it was not already started. Only opening documents from the "Open Recent"-menu works.

                                    Is it possible you’re not logged into the Creative Cloud desktop application? You can check by clicking on the … menu in the upper right hand corner.

                                    If you are, you should force quit the CC desktop application (Cmd+Ctrl+Q) and then relaunch again. You should then be able to access the files via File > Open.

                                    Let us know if this works!

                                  • Fonts do not appear

                                    Hello,

                                    I'm trying to use my fonts in Adobe XD and when i open the drop down menu in the program the fonts are not fully loaded. Few fonts appear in the list. I do not use any fonts manager, I install it in the Windows directory folder. Does anyone know how to fix it?

                                      Did you happen to install the fonts on Windows 7 and then upgrade to Windows 10? We’ve seen some fonts disappear from the list when this happens, and are working with Microsoft to address the issue.

                                      I am trying to use Publish Prototype in XD. I have updated it to the newest version. I have followed the troubleshooting steps, sign out, restart, check account online etc. Still no joy getting it to work. I find the lack of export options for XD quite troubling and it is leading me to believe that it is not a viable tool for prototyping just yet. Even the record steps doesn't seem to be available on Windows compared to Mac. Meantime, I'm left with a project that looks great but is absolutely unusable. I want to be able to export…

With regards to the error message you are seeing when attempting to share, this indicates that sharing has been disabled for your account. This would be the case if you have an enterprise account that falls into one of the following categories:

                                        1/ Your Creative Cloud membership does not include Adobe storage/services
                                        2/ Your Creative Cloud membership does not provide access to All Apps
                                        3/ The IT admin in your organization has disabled the Share Online feature in XD

                                        If you can confirm that none of these issues apply to you, please send an email to AdobeXDSharingSupport@adobe.com with your Adobe ID and we can investigate further.

                                        Layers panel, Hide icon is disappearing on hover. The tooltip still works however, and the Locker icon on the left work fine as well.

                                            In your last move, it looks like you haven’t actually selected the artboard to drill into it. You’ll need to click on the artboard icon in the layers panel or click the artboard title on the canvas to get the list. Hope that helps!
