  1. Frequent freezes and crashes

    It feels like you really rushed this latest release (2.0.32.10) out the door. I'm having stability problems galore.

    App freezes while I'm working. Unsure if these are related to the Type tool issues reported previously, but I am using the pointer and other tools when this happens.

    I can't accurately reproduce the bug, but I can say that the decline is gradual. First, I cannot save via CTRL-S. Second, any selection of other tools no longer registers on the artboard. The hamburger menu at top left does not open. Eventually, the entire app just freezes and I'm forced to restart.

      For those of you who are on the Fall Creators Update (1709, build 16299.x), we’ve discovered that this update invalidated a number of GPU drivers. You’ll need to go to the manufacturer’s website and download the most recent version of the graphics drivers to resolve this problem. For those of you NOT on the Fall Creators Update, can you see what happens when you don’t save your file to the Creative Cloud folder?

    • Still cannot publish design spec link

      I press share new link, and the progress just stopped at 0%. Waited 10 mins and still nothing.

      I see other people addressing the same issues, but you said you fixed them. But from here, I am still experiencing these problems. Here's a screenshot to show you what I mean.

      • Crashes on programme chrome resize

        1. Adobe XD version 1.0.12.19, CS2.4.3.114
        2. anything that causes the size of the XD 'viewport' to resize - closing the side panel where the assets/layers are when it's open, or opening it when it's closed. switching between design and prototype views. maximising the window. crashes with any file, with or without assets, on a network drive or from desktop.
        3. expect it to switch views without crashing
        4. crashes without changing views. If for example i closed the side panel (assets/layers) it will crash first then when i open it again it will have closed the sidepanel.

        • Layer/Group ordering

          I suddenly can't move layers/groups around in the layers panel, i.e. reorder them.

          • Can't open multiple .xd files at the same time.

            1. Adobe XD 1.0.12.19
            2. For example, I have 2 xd files, let's name them 1.xd and 2.xd. If I open 1.xd, I can't open 2.xd at the same time. Tried to open 2.xd, can't open 1.xd as well.
            3. 1.xd and 2.xd should be opened at the same time.
            4. Only 1 file can be opened at a time.

              Hi,

              Based on your information from Step2 it seems that Open/Cmd+O are enabled but when you choose 2.xd while having 1.xd open in a different window, 2.xd does not open. Do you get an error message in this case?

              Do you get the same results if you try to open the files 1 and 2 from RecentFiles?

            • Publish prototype and design specs

              I can't publish Prototypes and Design Specs some days ago. Before all was o.k. I work on some prototypes and several shows the same error message. Our account admin in my company say, that not is blocked in my account. The error message shows not an error code number, only the text "can not published, try later". The link to troubleshooting shows the public help of Adobe.

                Sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue.  The error you are seeing indicates that XD is having trouble communicating with Adobe’s Creative Cloud servers – which could happen for a couple of different reasons.
                 
                I have some follow up questions to help us better understand what could be causing your issue. Please respond here or via email (AdobeXDSharingSupport@adobe.com):
                 
                - Are you sharing from a public or enterprise network?  If you are using an enterprise network, can you try sharing from a public network (for example, your home broadband connection) and see if the problem reproduces?
                - What country are you located in?
                - What is your network connection speed?  You can measure this through sites like http://beta.speedtest.net/
                - Which version of XD are you using? 

                If you are using your company’s network, please confirm with your IT department that the following network access will not be blocked:…

                I cannot unselect single elements from a multiple selection by clicking the LMB. I need to use the escape button to exit a selection.

                while ungroupping the mouse goes to panning mode and moves everything only horizontal or vertical ( NOT WANTED IT TO )

                About 50% of files i am opening crash and i have to manualy shut down the XD process

                it is a horror to use it with this issues O_O

                  This is helpful! We’ve discovered that the Fall Creators Update invalidated a bunch of graphics drivers, so it’s likely your graphics driver is out of sync with your operating system. You should find out your graphics card manufacturer (run dxdiag from the start menu), go to the manufacturer’s website, and download the latest driver for that card. Let us know if that resolves the issue!

                • [windows 10] when saving XD lock up abnormally long

                  1. XD 2.0.32.10
                  2. make a file with 7 artboards and 7 screenshots
                  - edit the file
                  - Type CTRL+s
                  3. I can continue editing the arboards In a few seconds or less the edited tag on the title changes / disapears
                  4. The edited tag stays, I can select a different tool, bit I can't select items on arboards, zooming CTRL+ +/- does not happen
                  - after 10 or more seconds all the interactions happen and the edited tag disapears

                      Hi David,
                      Sorry to hear you are running into trouble when trying to publish a prototype. An Error 22 indicates that XD was unable to generate bitmaps for the artboards in your design file.

                      Does your design file contain any particularly large artboards? If so, this is likely the source of the error. By reducing the size of your artboard, the publish operation should succeed.

                      If you can send your XD design file to AdobeXDSharingSupport@adobe.com – we can take a look and investigate further.

                      Alternatively, can you reply here with the dimensions of your largest artboard?

                      Are you able to publish from other XD design files with smaller artboards, or do you see this issue with all files?

                        • Slow performance

                          Windows 10 v1703, OS Build 15063.726
                          Adobe XD v2.1.32.11

                          Since last update of Adobe XD and Win 10 there has been a lot of performance issues editing Symbols, Masking images, Zooming and a long etc.

                          Not sure what this could be but before that this software used to run smoothly.

                            If you’re on the Fall Creators Update, we’ve heard from users that the operating system actually invalidated many of the known graphics drivers. You should go to your graphics driver manufacturer’s website to download and install the most recent version of the drivers for your hardware.

                          • Export size 2x and 3x

                            Hi,
                            If I create an Artboard no matter what size we export @ 2x and @ 3x is scaled down and not doubled or tripled?
                            Also, I can not control the presets because they are always passive ??

                            You can not work like that. Is there a solution?

                              Hi MGM,

                              I’m sorry to hear you are having trouble with the export functionality in XD. Can you share a little more detail about the process you are using to export these bitmaps?

                              Note that the Export menu has a “Designed at” drop down, which is not intended to specify the resolution(s) of the exported bitmap. This is explained in more detail here: https://medium.com/thinking-design/protip-exporting-assets-in-adobe-xd-c586996de703

                              Please let me know if this explains what you seeing. If not, we are happy to investigate further.

                            • Copy/Paste shortcuts and menu options no longer work

                              I just downloaded the November 2017 update. I opened a new document. When I try to use copy/paste shortcuts on any object, nothing happens. When I right click and copy/paste using the menu, nothing happens. The only way I can copy an object is by right clicking the object in the layers palette and duplicating it. The keyboard shortcut for group works fine (CTRL+G), as well as select all (CTRL+A).

                                Did you just update your Windows 10 to Fall Creators Update? We’ve heard from our users that many graphics drivers have been invalidated with this update, so you’ll need to go to the manufacturer’s website to download and install the latest.                                 - Open XD file (4.4MB)
                                - Click on Publish Prototype
                                - Check Allow Comments and Show Hotspot Hints
                                - click on Update Link

                                Expected:
                                Existing url should update with the changes

                                Publishing always stops at 75% then the error message is shown.

                                • XD wont allow the opening of multiple files at once. Is it some trial restriction?

                                  This is horrible you cant open multiple files in XD CC? What purpose does it serve to use the software if you are limited to one file on deck at once? I simply can't use the software. Is this going to be fixed? I've avoided Sketch for two years because I love Adobe but this is not workable.

                                        Hi,

                                        If that is the case I would say that it is Illustrator that is not able to import the drop shadow properly. XD exports it in a way that browsers are able to understand and, correct me if i am wrong, XD is also able to recognize the shadow if you try to import the SVG back.

                                        I wonder if the shadow exported from XD, the one you viewed in browsers, has the properties you expect from a shadow.

                                      • Transparent area when resizing window

                                        When I open XD, create a document (e.g. iPad template), then make the window bigger, the content of the XD window is cropped to the original size of the window. Strangely, content inside the window (sidebars etc) seem to be laid out according to the size of the larger ("actual") window.

                                          Can you please share what version of Windows 10 you’re using? A build number is best. If you’re using 1709.16299, we’ve discovered that this update invalidated a number of graphics drivers. You’ll need to go to your graphics card manufacturer’s website to download and install the latest. Let us know if this still happens after you update your drivers!

                                        • [Mac 10.13] Adobe XD CC exits without error after launch

                                          I'm using an imac and I've recently updated XD from beta to CC, but know when I try and open the app it exits without any error messages. This is what happens when I try and launch the app:

                                          1. then the intro screen appears for 2 seconds.
                                          2. intro screen disappears and app exits without error message.

                                          I've already tried uninstalling all apps and Creative Cloud, used the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and then reinstalled.

                                          I've also restarted my machine many times and signed in and out of Creative Cloud each time.

                                          I've also deleted all other accounts…

                                            We haven’t seen this on our side, unfortunately. Can you send us your logs?

                                            1. Open Console app (it’s built into macOS, so they can just launch it via Spotlight search)
                                            2. Type “Adobe XD” into the search field in upper-right
                                            3. In XD, open a document
                                            4. Press Ctrl-Alt-Shift-L (they should see a dialog box saying logging is enabled)
                                            5. Reproduce the Save failure
                                            6. Go back to Console app, and choose File > Save a Copy to save this log to a file
