Altering a copy of a nested master components with duplicates of children components introduces bugs.
Issue introduced after update that I rolled back to try to recover from my issues.
Current, rolled back version: 188.8.131.52, CC Sync 184.108.40.2062
Riffing on other's bug posts with more intel after playing a bit.
It seems that altering a copy of a master that is complex, with nested children components, and potentially duplicating children inside the copy, or changing many other variables between copy and master, introduces the following bugs:
- undoing of any action will no longer work in the file by key command or menu
- copy and paste of offending component will no longer be possible
- sometimes the components can't change art boards or live on the pasteboard and instead appear as an object that is bleeding off the original artboard would. Basically this kills the concept of a pasteboard in addition to introducing a hide-and-seek game.
These bugs damage the file so that any version of XD on another mac will encounter the same issues once the file has the issues.
This bricks the software as far as I am concerned. Design without 'undo' isn't design. NEED A SOLUTION ASAP.

I am encountering the same issue. I have created a table layout that is a component that contains several nested components. If I duplicate this table component and move or delete an item in this component I am unable to copy and paste the edited version of the component as well as undo any changes that have been made to it. Through testing I discovered that if I remove some of the nested components within the table component the bug goes away.
I have attached a sample file to illustrate this behavior with steps outlining the issue. Please resolve this ASAP!!!

I can't share files or gifs as I work on products covered under NDA and would need to blur so much you wouldn't get anything out of it. This copy/paste issues has been reported by others and it has been experienced by others in my office as well, with different files and components.
