Slow performance, Xd June 2019
After updating to Xd 126.96.36.199 the application becomes very slow.
Upon starting/restarting the app it's responsive. However, after running for a few minutes it becomes unusable slow.
Please, make it faster al more fluid: the slowness of saving and updating the files connected to a design system is making me think of changing software for rapid prototyping!

Hi Adobe XD team. We definitely need some optimizations for large projects or at least cross prototype linking (pressing a button in prototype1 will open the page from prototype2) so we can divide our large projects into smaller parts.
As you can see, Adobe XD maxes out my RAM (i have 16GB). Also it blows up pagefile.sys to 25GB while working.
After being open for a few minutes, XD becomes so sluggish it's unusable. A restart becomes fast again, then quickly degrades. Seems to have all the symptoms of a memory leak. XD has been open < 10 minutes and is using 2 GB of RAM.
For context, I have a document with 4 simple components and about 10 different screens (all very basic -- just wireframes).
Not sure what to do at this point other than move all my work to another application that's usable.

Same here... sluggish as hell on my maxed out MBP, Adobe needs to fix this ASAP.
Same performance issue on a Macbook Pro mid-2015 (Core i7 - 16 GB - macOS Mojave) and XD 188.8.131.52.

Hey everyone, I started to have a slow performance on certain Adobe Xd files (Changing text, or moving objects would take over 10s). I am running Adobe Xd latest version in a MacBook Pro(2016 Model, Version 10.14.6, 2.7ghz processor, 16gb of RAM), so at first, I thought it was related to having too many images, objects, or artboards. However, I have files that have a larger amount of images, objects, and artboards THAT WORK JUST FINE.
FINALLY, after going through multiple forums and not finding a solution, I realized that the lag was caused due to the number of components in my document. I deleted a bunch of components (over 30) and my file started to work at a normal speed.
Now, this may not be a solution for someone else's issues, but it worked for me. Also, this is definitely not ideal, since components are a key part of streamlining my process. Currently, I have to limit my file to only have 10-15 components, I am not sure what the sweet spot is yet.
Hope this helps!

Same issue here: recently just moving around assets has becoming very annoying, slow and barely usable.

Same here. I'm on a 2017 Macbook Pro. Everything is up to date and I´m having a slow performance.
XD is lagging when autosave happens - which is every 5 - 10 seconds. Can there be a preference/setting added that allows the user to dictate how often autosave runs? It's a great feature - but is causing more headache than it is worth with it's current implementation.
Same experience as everyone on this thread. I've tried posting in a couple of different Adobe feedback forums, but this is getting ridiculous.
Users still having issues as of August 2019 in the following forums: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2596011
This forum tries to solve the problem by addressing GPU issues (which, side note, I have already tried upgrading for my machine, to no effect): https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2497098
Similar forum blaming GPU issues: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2540361
And now this "bug" forum.
Dear Adobe. I love using your products, but this issue is not just computer-related. None of my other high GPU-usage programs are having ANY problems. The most parallel program to XD in my system, Sketch, is having *zero* lagging issues.
I cannot justify using your program to my team when I can only work at a fraction of my normal speed, especially with developers waiting on wireframe design updates before they can continue doing their job. Please address ASAP, or even just let us know you're working on it? Thanks.
The last 2 or 3 updates has made my life hell. Please kindly fix this issues everyone is complaining about. The program freezes each time any action is performed.
Me too, only for the last month, it just grinds to a halt, especially when zooming in or out, changing text colour, or moving assets. I used to just restart and would work, but that doesn't work now, pretty difficult to do work atm, please fix or allow us to revert to a previous version.
Mac OS - 10.14.5
The latest update is really bad. Xd now slows down after 2 minutes of use, freezes, keyboard shortcuts are not responsive. Make my macbook pro sound like it's about to take off to the outer space.
We are designing a web app. Designsystem is set up with many components etc.
To work in XD is basically impossible. Its lagging. Presenting work is a real hassle. All files are in the Cloud.

I find this too - to the point where when I started using the app I was thinking "what do you mean, fast and responsive -- this is like treacle!" All user-interaction (mouse actions, menu, even typing) dreadfully slow. You ask for more info but I am not sure what I / we can say.Running on 2014 Mac Pro with 1TB SSD, Core i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, external 2560x1200 monitor, High Sierra. No other performance-hungry apps running. No significant (red bars) CPU loading showing in activity monitor. Sheet is slightly modified (mostly deleted items) version of adobe "Wires - 2019".

the same problem for me I can't even edit fonts or color or copy and past some elements, the problem became in the doucment file, not in the cloud

Performance has made the program unusable. Program ran perfectly until the last few days. What has happened?

Same here - the latest update (today) makes it even worse.
Now even freshly after start it slows down just while moving small components. It responds so slow that the mouse down gets registered with the wrong element.

I experience very very very slow performance as well.
The program just freezes sometimes for 2 to 6 seconds after dragging an element around, or changing its shape. This is since the June update.System:
Running Windows 10, Intel Core i7-8650, 32gb ram.

I am also experiencing this slow performance on both a 2017 Macbook Pro (i5, 8gb) and 2018 iMac (i7, 32gb). Xd was running blazing fast for me until this recent June 2019 update.
