Duplicated elements inside non-master components despite master reset...
Title says everything, I have no way to reproduce this...
I have a master document with all my master components, one of them has a nested component, everything is working fine with the others, even when they have nested components BUT this one.
What's happening is that in a project file (not the master one), all it's instances have a duplicate of the nested component, even after a reset, even after deleting the component from the library...
This issue has been fixed in the July 2019 release, XD 21. Available now!

Just to add to this, i can replicate it.
I get this by doing the following:
copy component (lets say, to a different artboard)
Resize master - but! Halfway through resizing, hold alt + Shift to make it scale from the center.
This will just create random stuff. Please see example attached.
Note: The original objects were Rectangle 1 + 2.

I’m experiencing this too, to me the duplicated nested components are always ones that are "icons", have some image or vector art inside of them. Looking forward to the fix!

Thank you for reporting this issue.
This issue is reported and the concerned team is working on it.
This issue will be fixed in the upcoming release.
Not sure it helps but it might be a network issue – imagine you save your master but network is slow and you didn't wait for the "saved" status to appear to go to the new project, make a modification and save here too.
Eventually it could break the components, a bit like in the old Pokemon games with the box transfert exploit that allows the user to duplicate them by shutting down the GB before the save is complete.
I know it's farfetched but I love the idea of having Pokemon helping resolving this bug :D
