Can't apply character/colour styles from assets when in list view
CC Sync 184.108.40.206
Since the update today I can't apply character or colour styles from my document assets when they're in list view. When they're in grid view, they apply as normal.
Though this was working as designed, the team has changed so that moving forward clicking into the character style in list view will apply the change to selected character. This will be available the next version.
I wonder how many people had to google it ;-). Definitely weird functionality, but at least it works.
This new feature is not intuitive at all. Nobody would have expected it, I just simply thought the update made it buggy. The whole row of a character style in list view should behave as the same as in icon view.
Please don't call it expected and close it. It's a time waster figuring out there's a difference between the icon and list behaviour. They should both apply the styles.
me too, this is not intuitive at all. The whole row of a character style, in list view, should behave as the button.

It just took me a ridiculous amount of time to realize that in order to apply a character style I can only click on the "Ag" icon in the left corner. Clicking on the name does nothing.
Why is the entire character style represented as a button, if only the "Ag" actually acts as a button and applies the style?
1. version 10.0.12.9
2. Select a text field, click on a character style.
3. The character style should apply when I click anywhere on the button
4. The character style does not apply. Unless I click on the "Ag" icon
Ahh, Cip is correct, it works when you click the far left thumbnail bit, just not the rest of the block (where the name/hex code is)

In the Assets grid view, I can click a character style and it will apply it to the selected text object. However, in list view, clicking the character style does not apply it to the selected text object.
In the attached screenshot, I have clicked an orange character style, but the selected text is still white.
You need to click the thumbnail (color or letter icon) to apply the style. It's not quite intuitive tho.
