Setting font size sets opacity instead
Using Windows v10.0.14393 and XD v126.96.36.199.2
Steps to reproduce:
1) Select text in my design with the type tool
2) Select font size value in the TEXT pane and type in a new value (e.g. 12)
3) Hit enter
1) New font size value applied to text in design
1) The operation sets the Opacity of the text object to that value
I usually need to repeat steps above until font size is properly set. This happens intermittently and is difficult to predict. Not sure what I'm doing to make this happen
Also, would like to see spinner controls or a dropdown box on the text field to allow me to nudge font size up/down or select a commonly used value.
Sorry to hear you’re encountering a problem with this. This report is a bit old (filed against XD 3) – can you please create a new post with the following info?
- XD version
- OS version
- Detailed steps of what you’re doing, where it goes wrong and what you expect
- If possible recording showing the issue

This is not just font size. its anything numeric. i would rather have to adjust the opacity with a button (not short cut) than have this happen. ITS DRIVING ME INSANE - besides, how much opacity variation do you really need in prototyping? triple clicking is not efficient for every numeric interaction!!!!!!!
=== Please just disable the shortcut while you work it out so we can get our work done! ===
..and what's worse, i was watching a co worker make some updates in Photoshop yesterday, and every time she tried to change the dimensions in the properties panel, the same thing happened.
still have this issue
The issue is very hampering productive work.
I find this as an issue with EVERY open that takes numeric input. VERY glad it's in progress. I have to try 2+ times to manually input numbers into font size, line height, border radius, x and y coordinates, etc.

Having the same issue as well... When I try to use the numpad to adjust a property (font size for example) it changes the opacity.
This is really frustrating,
Everytime I highlight the input for the corner radius and begin typing, for example, I enter '3' - it jumps to the transparency slider. It's buggy and I have to attempt multiple times to change the corner radius before it "takes" without changing the opacity.
When the text box is selected with dashed lines with handlers around it, the focus is on on the Opacity control. That may be the reason why the opacity changes from 40% to 50%, depending on which number you type. The next time the bug reproduces, I would check the location of the insertion point and what state the text box is in.

It happened to me as well, but with a text box changing the font size. The only way I could change the font size was to delete the text box and re-create it. I already created another bug report before I saw this one. On Windows 10.

When typing a number into a text box control, the opacity⁄transparency changes instead and the numbers are not entered. For example, if I try to type "45" into text size box, the opacity changes to 40% when I type 4, then 50% when I type 5.
This only happened when one point text box was selected, and deleting and re-creating the text box fixed the problem (if it matters, it was a point text box with Lato font at size 13). At this time, I am not able to reproduce the problem, but it is definitely an irritating bug. Even though it suddenly disappeared, if it comes back I'll try to figure out what caused it and post back here. In the meantime, I know this bug report probably isn't very useful, but it's here anyway.

I'm using the properties panel to make the width adjustment. It doesn't do this all the time... but it did happen again a moment ago...
Shawn Kelshaw commented
Attempting to adjust the width value of a rectangle (drawn in Xd) results in transparency adjustment; not width. This could happen once, twice, or never. Has happened on multiple occasions. Windows 64x Creative Cloud Master Collection. Xd v6. I don't want to be your beta tester!!!
Happens to me repeatedly as well. Really frustrating. Eager for the fix!
Adobe XD Version: 3.1.12,2 Creative Cloud Sync 188.8.131.52
Windows 10 Pro Version 1709
Steps to Reproduce.
1. Select item
2. Highlight X or Y value
3. Attempt to change value via number key or keypad
1. Focus should stay in the X or Y value area, allowing numbers to be changed.
1. Focus does not stay on X or Y value, but instead jumps to Opacity focus when numbers are typed in, thus changing the Opacity of the item and not the position.
Thanks for working on this bug guys!

I am having hard time with this feature also. Whenever I "paint some value to select the whole value" and start typing new numeric value, the opacity changes instead. So when painting values in the option panel, the value does not really get focus/selected that it does when you click the value once without dragging to paint it.
Thanks Joe - definitely sounds similar to the shortcut you’re describing. I’ll retest asap and get back to you. It *seems* like shortcut opacity feature and normal value entry into a field are competing with each other.
It seems to happen when the text field (or round corners) is highlighted. Steps: 1. Select object. 2. Click on text size field in right panel. Important note: If I click into the text field and un-highlight the value and backspace/delete the value, the field works as expected. I’ll try to take a video and post here.
This might be triggered after "double-clicking" on a grouped item. I just had the same issue after double clicking on a shape and then tried to adjust the round corners field. The cursor jumped to the Opacity again and changed the opacity to 40% (after I typed 4 for the rounded corners)
Running Windows 10 Enterprise. Version 10.0.16299
1. Version 184.108.40.206
2. Select a text item. Type a value into the Text Size field.
3. Expected: change the size of the selected type
4. Actual: Selected field changes to Opacity field and any input changes opacity of selected item
Noticed this bug after the latest XD update. Did not exist before then. Thanks for any help or fixes!

Since the last update, whenever I use my numpad to modify data (on the border of a shape, for sample), the only thing that changes is the opacity. Can't use my numpad for anything else.
