Shared Prototype Boards out of Order
When I create a sharable link, my artboards get produced out of order. I have them in order in the layout but for some reason art board #5 and #3 get flip flopped, which disrupts user flowing if they are using the arrows on the bottom of the adobe demo page. I've created two new documents, thinking I some how laid out the artwork out of order and it didn't fix the problem.
Is there a way to indicate (other than layout) the order of the artboards?
XD verison 0.6.2.7
We’ve fixed this problem. Please check it out in the more recent versions of XD.

This is still an issue with me too. The boards are displayed in a different order when previewed locally or online.
This continues to be an issue - despite following XD Left to Right, Top to Bottom route the boards continue to export all out of order, more like order of creating artboard rather than the hierarchy set by the LtoR and TtoB.
Can there please be a "ReOrder ArtBoards" once published?

This is still an issue with the latest XD on Windows 10 as of April 12 - 2018. Prototypes are our of order and don't follow the artboard heirachry as laid out in XD
Well, it is 9:13 AM PST on 01/18/2018 - I am using the latest version of XD and the latest version of Windows 10 and this is still an issue.
All of my art boards are in a single line arranged from left to right (which is stupid) - there are 18 pages and the arrows do not follow the chronological order that is specified in XD. It is however correct in the in-app preview - just not when I publish the prototype (arguably the most important part.)
This effectively makes the product completely useless.
PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!
Bug is not fixed. My artboard 2 is also showing up as my artboard 11. I've had the same issue happen to me today. I am upgraded to the latest version.
This is very frustrating. I think that left/right and arrow keys in slideshow should be in order of layer. Prototype interactions should have no bearing on this. And ability to share the link should have nothing to do with there being no interactions, or what board is designated home.

According to the Adobe documentation "Share designs and prototypes:"
"If you share your design file without first adding interactions, all your artboards are uploaded and users will be able to navigate using the keyboard arrow keys. The order of your artboards will be from the upper left and move to the right."
This may be true, but if you do add interactions, all bets are off. I have been able to get some control over the order of display by shifting the order in the artboard list. XD keeps trying to put my last artboard second, however, and if I shift one or two the whole order screws up and I have to shuffle each one again to get it to approximate what I want.
Most of my prototype links are inside a group, replicated manually from artboard to artboard because prototype links within symbols don't work. XD displays all the artboards linked within the group first, then the few that are not in the group last. Not what I want, but I have yet to find a workaround. Major PIA.

What's the intended order? Left-to-right, top-to-bottom? Order in the layers panel?
I have a fully-wired document that I've laid out the artboards and layers as above, but I still can't make out any pattern to the order of the shared screens.

Do you happen to have also wires? We found recently a bug where when wires are present the arrow buttons do not give you the correct order. Hopefully this will be fixed soon!
The order you are seeing is by creation but should be as you said by location. I apologize again for the inconvenience.
