SVG won't open in Illustrator
Using the Export feature of XD I selected an icon - white Back icon - and exported it as SVG out of XD.
When I open the svg in Illustrator CC 2015 it shows the layers but nothing is able to be selected using either the Direct Selection or Selection tool. The icon also does not show on the canvas. No bounding box when I select even when I do a Select All.
I also selected the icon in the Layers panel and changed its fill color to black. Though the color change shows in the Layers panel, the artboard still doesn't show the icon.
The odd thing is the image opens in Pshop.
Illustrator CC 2015.21
We have fixed the issue which was caused by a lack of support for Illustrator symbols. The issue should be fixed in our June update.

I see that your SVG file is rendering correctly in the browser. Also, in Illustrator CC 2017 I was able to import the file and select the back arrow. Could you please use a newer version of Illustrator?

Like Steven commented, still an issue. I have the latest versions of both Xd and Ai, but still no go. When I open the svg in Illustrator I can't select anything and the icon does not show on the canvas.

This is still an issue
It hasn't been fixed. I installed all updates for Illustrator 15.2.0 and it still not working
I too have the same issue. It throws me an error in the beginning though: "The following items could not be imported properly: Clipping will be lost on roundtrip to Tiny"

Looking into above svg, the first thing i notice that fill for the arrow symbols is white. I assume it is intended and matches the original design. If not, please let us know.
The second thing i noticed when i open the svg file with AI is that the arrow symbol is placed at a distance outside the white canvas - you can check that by scaling the canvas to 50% for instance. Would you mind taking a look and confirm if that is the case please?
