I’m happy to announce that starting today, with the latest update, Artboard Guides functionality is part of XD!
Creation is very simple, you can simply point to the top and left of any artboard, click and drag to create guides.
You can check how Guides work in a short video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnalFtR2KMA ) or check out Adobe XD’s help pages to see all the details of the feature (https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/artboards-grids.html#custom-artboard-guides).

THESE ARE SO AWESOME THANK YOU!
Is there a way to pull guides onto an art board without having to zoom out and pull from the top or the artboard? It's a little frustrating when you're working on a long page.

Yaay!! Thank you so much for adding this feature! And for including a way to toggle the visibility of the guides.
I would really like an easy way to not only create the guides, but be able to hide them when showing my work to my manager/clients. However taking into account my list of items in the artboard section is huge and I would hate to have to troll through it everytime.
has this been added yet?

Please add guides.

Yes please, I'd love to have guides built into XD for custom placement/locking/unlocking. Thanks!
I'm being yelled at by my boss to switch to Sketch because Adobe XD is not capable of competing with them. I don't really want to because I have been with Adobe for over 15 years, so I'm hoping they pull through for all of our sake.
To use as guides, which can be hidden if necessary.
