Multiple pages (separate sets of artboards)
Sometimes, for 1 design project we need to make several options and to do so currently we need to create new files every time and name them with versions. So I think it would be really cool if we can create multiple designs within the same file and then be able to have multiple prototype links also based on different options, that would organize stuff and make it much easier.
We’re planning to support pages in XD. Stay tuned!

This was said to be in the backlog in 2020. What is the update on adding pages to a file. It would make everyone's life so much better if you could keep all versions of a project in one file and organized on a page. It's such a frustration to have to open multiple files for one project.
Mike M's comment a few below this one nailed it. I LOVE Adobe XD -- and it's tragic to see the lack of support for a few essential basics turn its usage into a complete no-go for people.

Adobe XD is already so laggy compared to Figma. Yes XD is smooth at first. Say for few app screens. But for 30, 40 pages and all components and everything made its laggy. Laggy, I mean not in interface but in input of mouse and keyboard. Input lag is what makes me wanna suicide because file size is not even 5mb and XD lags like file is 50GB. Such a input lag makes me feel I'm playing video games at 2fps. I dont want to brag about my PC specs.
But XD i think already hangy hangy XD will become rock once pages is implemented. LOL.
Have u even used Figma? Adobe developers?
Why this input lag is not fixed? Why does mouse scroll acts as scroll and all of sudden zoom?
Solution : I quickly Alt+Tab to any open window and go back to XD to temporary get out of lag.
So finally coming to the point, adding pages in XD is a joke. Its like building empire state on top of MC Donalds 1 floor shop with wooden ceiling. XDXDXDXD!!!
How would anyone think XD can handle pages when it cannot handle itself???? hahahaha

Our team is getting frustrated at having to create separate XD files specially when a client project with a many design phases could be all included in the same XD file with first level page structure.
(Ex. Page 0 (Cover page, creative brief), Page 1 (Moodboard), Page 2 (Wireframe), Page 3 (Mockups), Page 4... ect.))
Managing all these individual shared xd links to clients is becoming a frustrating task. I hate to bring this up but if that page feature is exactly like the one in Figma, we would be happy.
That Page feature would allow us to separate multiple Canvas with artboards per different design topics.
I hope this feature is getting bump at the top because this is becoming a serious need for our team.

This feature is a necessity at this point.
I have customers making us use Figma, and I hate Figma. Xd is so much easier to use 80% of the time, and much better in terms of prototyping. But Figma does have Xd over a barrel in some functionality, and pages is a big one. I know it's more complicated than this but basics:
- Add pages section to assets panel
- Add new page = new interior cloud doc with all same assets and resources, shared links, etc.
- Pages navigation selector/dropdown to the assets panel to be able to switch between pages (cloud docs)
- When sharing prototypes, be able to view/navigate prototype links by pages "page-name/prototype-name"
Come onnn please Adobe, stop prioritising shiny smoke and mirror features to impress in presentations, we need more practical and efficient working features to be implemented
Not to mention that having multiple files open at the same time can cause, among others key factors, this annoying lag: heavy slow response either while designing or switching among Prototype, Share, Design tabs. Even closing one of the opened files can cause this frustrating lag (I tried every trick and workaround ever lived on the web and Adobe recommendations, but it comes back. Always). If you guys include this feature, that'd mean getting rid of this damn lag as well

I have been waiting for years but XD is still far behind Figma in user experience.

Adobe XD development is lacking behind a lot. Figma here we come.
Seriously thinking of switching to Figma for this. Along a host of other small things.
Another great thing that Figma has, but Adobe doesn't.... why big companies always comes late when is about great ideas, or just decide to ignore little things that have a great impact (ex: adding background to overlays)?
Your life will be better in Figma
Vick Sleiman commented
I think this is definitely not a feature that should be in the backlog... it's should have been in development by now. We really need this. We're constantly running out of space in our files and many times it doesn't make sense to create a new file just to gain more space. Not to mention that when your competitors have this feature and many of us have switched from other softwares to XD, it's not surprising we feel let down by the lack of something so common in alternative softwares. I say this with all my love for XD, of course! :)

hey , i want a option to override styles to maintain design systems.
And any easiest way to search component or similar component and over ride them . also when my file is full with artboard i have to create new file is there any way to create pages in one file . more i want to add that can you add invision DSM like feature in Adobe where we can inspect and prototype screens.

Figma and Sketch have this functionality. When will this come out of the backlog?
