Underline text
You can easily make text bold or italic in XD, but not underlined. There should be an Underline style or toggle button for creating designs with links, etc.
You can now underline text in the December release of Adobe XD. If you’re interested in improvements to the underline feature (like adjusting the distance between the underline and the baseline), please do feel free to file that as a separate ticket!

I really can't use this as a Sketch replacement until this get's implemented. Along with mobile work, I still do quite a bit of website design and I need to be able to underline text links. Really, I'd like to see the same typography treatments Sketch has.

Would anyone on the team care to explain why this is only in the backlog and not a higher priority? Is it difficult to do? Do you have some objections against it? Clearly a lot of people want it as it is the 6th most voted request.

Kinda madness that with all XD CAN DO, we still don't have basic text formatting options. Such a faff for creating link lists etc manually drawing lines under everything.

I'm beginning to wonder whether Adobe even pay attention to these.
Underline text and a ruler / guide system STILL haven't been implemented. Phenomenal.
Why they weren't implemented at the very beginning is beyond comprehension. It's like building a house without windows, or a staircase.
Please hurry. I'm tired of using Photoshop with it's incredibly bloated filesizes / CPU usage.

To get me to switch from Sketch, Adobe is going to need to think through some basic necessities. Underlining text is a basic functionality available in the most rudimentary applications. How can someone design a web experience if one of the most, if not the most, foundational elements of html isn't easily demonstrated? And unless I overlooked it, go ahead and add ordered and unordered lists to the text area.

How is this not implemented yet?

Come on Adobe... I really appreciate the efforts in Adobe XD but its staggering that we need to ask for this basic function...

This is a basic type-editing option, and should be available, please.

Underlined text is a universal, well stablished convention for hyperlinks across all viewports and devices. This is a critical component for any UI prototyping tool.
Case in point: there are over five instances of underlined/underline states in this very page, Adobe. < THIS!

Yes please! Also, please add some basic font editing option like in InDesign: All caps, Small caps, Glyphs, Kerning and leading, Justification...
