Basic Text Transform: all caps, all lowercase
Add basic text transform like there is in Illustrator to make it easier and faster for developers to code your designs. Our developers have to waist time retyping text for layouts that have already been designed. At least basic uppercase and lowercase.
Hi everyone,
I’m glad to announce that the text uppercase, lowercase and title case transformations are now available with the XD 19 release.
Pro Tip: You can apply the transformations to characters styles and make global updates across the document.

Enjoy and let us know your feedback!
Best,
Dan

This missing feature is one of the only reasons our team has not switched over from other software.
It's actually incredible to me that your own team hasn't complained about not having this basic feature in the software they use to create the software. Web designers use this feature every. single. day.
When you mocked up the word "ARTBOARDS" in the left sidebar, you literally typed that in with all caps in your design—that's destructive editing, precisely what this software is supposed to eliminate.
Good rule of thumb: if you can do it in code, add a button for it.. i.e. "text-transform: uppercase;" The designers that use software like this every day could care less about your flashy new updates when basic functionality like this is missing. Get on it team! We want you to win, but the competition is hot. Figma figured this one out eons ago..

This is the one thing that keeps me from using XD in my daily workflow. I simply do not have the time to retype every single headline just to see how they would look in uppercase. Every single (web) design tool I ever used (including CSS) has this feature. How is this still under review after more than 2 years?!

Yes to this feature... it should have all the text style attributes similar to a style sheet. This needs to a priority and should have been part of the first release. You have made it more efficient in other areas which is great, but not providing these kind of features just make it frustrating to use.

Yes please - this would be so useful.

This feature is crucial !
Ignoring the importance of this (as well as ignoring users requesting it for 2 years)...
Leaves me puzzled -

Eagerly waiting for this update this task is very simple one why it's taking too much time, It sukcs retypes the text every time or converts it through the external app.

We need that to win against Sketch regime !

Yeah Even though the Shift + F3 workaround exists it's not very workflow friendly to use. This should have been in day one. Modifying text needs to be easy.

Hi Adobe XD'ers!
I made some AppleScripts that will transform a selected text box to lowercase or uppercase.
Next, using BetterTouchTool, I assigned the AppleScripts to a 'key sequence'.Here's how I did it:
http://bit.ly/adobe-xd-text-transformHere are the scripts:
http://bit.ly/adobe-xd-uppercase and http://bit.ly/adobe-xd-lowercaseThe step by step is below.
--------------------------------
How to create custom keyboard shortcuts for transforming text to uppercase or lowercase in Adobe XD for Mac.Prerequisite: Install BetterTouchTool: https://folivora.ai/
I'll do uppercase first.
Grab the AppleScript from bit.ly/adobe-xd-uppercase
Paste it in a text editor or a Script Editor and save the script file in a home of its own.
Open BetterTouchTool
Create an App Specific Shortcut for Adobe XD
Then click Add New Shortcut or Key Sequence
I'm going to create a new key sequence instead of a keyboard shortcut. A key sequence triggers an action based on a sequence of keys rather than pushing a combination at the same time.
Don't worry it's easy!
Click Key Sequence > Record New Key Sequence
The key sequence I'll record will be ⌘ u c
(for uppercase).Choose Trigger Predefined Action and search for AppleScript (blocking or async is fine)
Choose Select AppleScript File > Choose AppleScript File from Disk
Navigate to the home of the AppleScript file
Select Save, then restart BetterTouchTool
Let's test it out.
Go to Adobe XD
Make a text box
Make sure you exit the edit mode for Adobe XD
Trigger the key sequence ⌘ u c (remember, one then the other, not all together).
Yay she works!

Missing uppercase? Come on. Anything related to text styles should have been there from day one. A massive % of building web pages and apps involves styling text.

Every new version I hope they integrate this, but they are too busy adding some "nice to have"s instead of BASIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS! Adobe! Please! How can you promote the workflow of XD as easy and intuitive and at the same time ignore to integrate basic text formatting options for YEARS now? This should have been there from the start

This is insane. Crazy. How can this option is completely unavailable in XD. A simple All caps or all small. Need to check as soon as possible which text style is looking good in my design. Please add this option ASAP.
