Basic Text Transform: all caps, all lowercase
Add basic text transform like there is in Illustrator to make it easier and faster for developers to code your designs. Our developers have to waist time retyping text for layouts that have already been designed. At least basic uppercase and lowercase.
Hi everyone,
I’m glad to announce that the text uppercase, lowercase and title case transformations are now available with the XD 19 release.
Pro Tip: You can apply the transformations to characters styles and make global updates across the document.

Enjoy and let us know your feedback!
Best,

I agree this should already be built into the software. But in the meantime, search for the plugin Change Case. This will give you the auto-capitalization shortcut.

I feel Adobe has made animation and other things more of a priority rather than have your "must have functions". For this, I will use other apps such as Sketch or InVision Studio before Adobe XD.
Sorry Adobe, yet another fail.

Line Height had major issues too. It's using print specs, not web specs. Makes the design handoff basically useless because the specs are wrong.

These features are needed, as well as this the ability to superscript the text (like in photoshop/indesign), it is crucial for any commercial work in a lot of marketing sectors.

This is very basic and must have feature.

As a temporary fix, it looks like there's now a plug-in available called 'change case' by Paolo Biagini.
Although it's something pretty basic that should still be built in.

Is this really a complicated feature to add? You should already have the code. I'd expect Adobe of all software developers to give robust typography features. They are all about TYPE!

been waiting for a long time to have control of the shortcuts in XD, hopefully it will come soon.
meanwhile you're welcome to use this tool I wrote for myself, it includes some currently missing hotkeys and functionality.https://www.behance.net/gallery/70265517/Additional-hotkeys-for-XD

Please make UPPERCASE a priority. It's a basic feature and should have been included from the start. It's a deal breaker for our company to switch to XD.

Just started using XD, and have now discovered this problem… It really is a simple thing to implement surely!!! Will look for XD alternatives and in the meantime go back to my usual method of designing mocking up, as the amount of time it's costing me is unjustifiable.. Shame.

This is just sad. The lack of basic functionality like text transform and lists is why I'm fighting for my company to use anything other than XD. How can anyone take this seriously as a UX tool in the corporate world without these abilities? The ability to open PSDs is useless when none of the text formattings come through. Coming from Figma makes this feel like a beta software.

Can't believe that this is not a feature request!?

How can this even be under review? It should have been on must-include list from the very beginning. How can something be advertised as the best tool for UI and web design when it doesn't have the basic text editing features that programs like Word have since forever?

Two years and XD still does not have this basic feature. Hand typing all caps is ridiculous, Can't believe this even has to be a feature request, jfc

I've been reading this around here and want to share it too. As a workaround select the text and hit SHIFT + F3 on Windows and you can cycle through different transform modes. Remember to modify the text in the end so the changes will be applied.

It's kinda surreal that we are getting features like typo-corrections which are the last concern I would ever have while designing things, but this feature, which is one of the basic things and something that I would use every day, is still missing, years after the first XD being released to public. Not only that, but apparently it hasn't even been started, which gives you a terrible outlook at what the XD team is prioritizing. The program still has so many basic functionalities missing, and acting like they don't exist just makes everything worse.

I always go to Word to convert letters to Uppercase.. I can't believe I am still doing that!!

Seriously, when is this being released??? I am designing a major piece of software with hundreds of screens, it could pass into the thousands.... I need to manage my text at SCALE. I need to be able to change a style to upper case and then back to lower case quickly and easily. How is this missing still? surely this is a basic piece of programming... it's been around for decades and is in almost all design programs, it's as common as BOLD ITALIC AND UNDERLINE - so what gives???? This is the second most requested feature, and is probably the easiest to implement... so you have HIGHLY REQUESTED BY THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY + EASY TO DO., it seems like a no-brainer.
