Vertical Alignment of text in text box

Ability to align text to the top/middle/bottom of the text box. I'm sure you've already got the horizontal alignment options covered in your checklist.

    Really need this - currently developing a design system - just changed font and its alignment within the box is all over the shop. Looks fine in Illustrator and other software but seems to be aligned to the top of the box in XD for some reason.

    This is serious problem when it comes to development issues - DEVELOPMENT CANNOT CHECK ANY SPACE BETWEEN TEXT ELEMENTS BECAUSE IT IS NOT RELEVANT TO REAL HTML RENDERING!!!! Development link is totally useless, so if we are going this way, the whole Adobe XD is USELESS!!!

    Had to switch to XD from sketch. All their latest improvements made me more confident, then I ran into this wall. How is vertical text alignment not a feature. Why wasn't it there from the start? What a disappointment.

    This is crazy, I cannot believe that 3 years have gone by and we still do not have this feature. I really hope someone will come up with a better software soon because this is just embarrassing. All these people are wasting their money on a company that just cannot be bother to create a freaking feature to vertically align the text!!!!!!!!

    Trivial, must have feature. I just can not understand what kind of mind-block is preventing you from doing this.

    This one is a no-brainer. Difficult to understand how it was not part of the first release. Adobe has been working with this basic functionality since Pagemaker...

    Lazy devs... really no vertical alignment?? 2020 for goodness sake... it's not the 90s. Get those basics in please.

    Does anyone have a workaround for this? Is there a plug-in? It’s impossible to adhere to a 8 pt grid. Impossible to create vertical rhythm. Impossible to hand off to dev and have it look right.
